Minor update, I went and collected my old B16a from my parents place this evening, going to give the bottom end a check over and bolt it up to the B16B head and see if I can get a running combination out of my growing parts bin. Since the B16B rebuild is on hold due to financial commitments, and I am loathing being relegated to timekeeper and teaboy at the local autosolos, I thought I might aswell see if I can cobble something together as an interim solution. If it works, then it gives me loads of time to build the B16B bottom end properly.
There's a sprint on the 3rd of September that I want to get on so I want to try and get the thing running again with the minimum dollar spent. I don't really care if it's a bit down on power or burning a bit of oil, so long as it works.
This idea makes loads of sense to me, which of course means I am going to find cracked liners and/or bent rods pissing on my bonfire later this week...
