Didnt realise I haven't updated this for so long! Mapping went well but think it needs to go back for a check as it got wayy faster in the afternoon of the first trackday lol, I forgot to mention to the tuner that the engine had been sat 9 years and just thrown on the Dyno, I think it must have gained compression or something? Maybe someone else could confirm this can happen lol, explains the lower than expected Dyno figure at 233bhp 195lb ft and it getting noticeably faster.
Its as good as I expected on track with a couple of things Id like to change, but 3 trackdays in and no problems at all!
Then I made a front splitter setup as always planned, this improved the car alot
Fitting the splitter setup, need to allocate 45 minutes in the morning just to fit it lol
Couple of track pics
Here's a video of the very first trackday in it, this is without the splitter on, if I got a lap like this on the last trackday with the splitter on with how the tyre/car temp was it would have been a full second faster
The fastest lap with the splitter was the only clear lap all day and the car/tyre temps was through the roof but I carried on anyway, no video because my go Pro broke but dipped into 1:38
So what do you do when you car has no problems at all? Dismantle it regardless of course
So that's where I'm up to, gearbox is getting swapped out for one with Dc5 gears and gripper plate diff, engine I'll be fitting a K20 oil pump to along with a sump baffle
Thanks for looking, will try keep it updated since they'll be some more additions after Christmas
