Jimbo's B18C-R Jordan


clutch and gearbox update :))

first of all purchased a slightly used Exedy stage 2 clutch kit, used for around 2000 miles so has loads of life left yet, and the price was a big help ;) had them lying around for months now so about time i sorted them out :nice:

and to go along with the Exedy clutch a Toda flywheel :)

98 Spec S80, wire brushed the whole box then wet sanded the box until it was completely smooth and ready for some paint:)

with that all sorted i started on the box removal once i got the box off i found why sometimes it was hard to get out of reverse

lucky its still in one piece really!! need to source a new release bearing now as the exedy didn't come with one, anyone have any ideas other than lings?
i need it QUICK :nerv:

cant really do a lot more now until i receive a new release bearing, even if anyone has a decent used one that would be great :)

really nice jordan mate! really is beast! where did you get the plates? and what kinda nuts/ bolts are holding them onto the tilt bracket. I took mines of but now considering putting them back on after looking through your build haha! took it off because the bolts at the side keep loosening up =\

When i eventually get one, it will aspire to be half the car this is :D

Cheers dude, got the plates from a company in Germany, they were around €55 and were made and delivered within 4 days :nice:

I'm using tegiwa's bolts and washers to hold the plate on to the bracket and to the car, word of advice only use the chrome bolts as the black rust instantly as I found out :( in all fairness tegiwa replaced all the bolts free of charge!

oh.. i never got the bolts when i got the tilt brackets from them :angry: just made a trip to bnq to get some lol. yeah i think i'll be having to get some since there was a wee bit of rust coming from the bracket lol. cheers though :))
