That is one shiney butterfly ;) what did you use and how? I don't think I could get my fat hands in my throttle body lol

thanks mate :) i used an abrasive cloth called 'micromesh' it comes in 2000, 3000, 6000, 9000, 12,000 grade! no polishes or anything used just micromesh.

started at 3000 and worked my way up to 9000.

i get it from work we use to to polish out scratches on the typhoon canopies its costs around £900 per role :nerv:

I would pop down to see if the lineys have any up here at kinloss but I doubt it as this place is shutting and we have no planes...only washing machines with wings which do mu nut in

get some photos up of your painted suspension bits... also mate that gearbox looks clean enough to eat off.. very nice..
so besides the bolts and M.O.T lol what you got planned now cause i know you're not gonna leave this car alone..

i haven't got any pics at the moment but i'll get some next time i take my wheels off :)

yeah i'm happy with how the gearbox turned out it looks mint in the bay now :)

just waiting on a braided clutch line from Gerry at PerformanceTek then off for my MOT.

not to sure yet depends on wether the swap with me and dan goes ahead?!?

if not the car will be going for some bodywork rectification and continue to build my Hi Comp B20, not many more parts to get now really just pistons, bearings and some gaskets :)

theres so many more things on my 'TO DO' list just plodding on through them with time ;)
 
awesome dude, if your car fails its M.O.T all the rest of ours are F***** lol.
it would be cool....but do you really wana part with your jordan ... after this much work... you may as well enjoy it for the rest of the summer at least...... but then its a type r scooby... i'd be racking my brains for days trying to decide.. :nerv:

p.s going to go and see what the R.A.F can offer me this week after a long chat with my grandpa... ;)

Jimbo...I'm the only one with a decent Honda at Kinloss. (Well apart from the one aircrew dude who's now gone who had a CW DC5 and an armourer with a BB4). All the rest are utter pish...apart from my colleagues Nissan Fairlady Z33...full Nismo kit and engine bits :nice:

Anyway...back on subject...I wish my car was as clean as yours ha ha maybe I should get off my lazy arse and clean the poor thing

F**k didnt realise the micromesh was dear, got some of it on the ship i am working on just now. Might need to borrow a sample just incase haha

i could be dude :) my car went for its first outing today for the first time in weeks :))
 
the lats piece in the puzzle for getting my car back on the road arrived today :)

custom carbon coloured HEL braided clutch line from Gerry at PT.

very impressed with the quality of the item and it looks a million times better than the standard rubber and copper line.
