Sounds naughty Jesse! I've also been thinking of applying some heat tape on the valve cover like you have. Cant see it making much of a difference though, Every little helpa i guess. Sure does seem to go well. Can't wait for your ring vids. I think I'm going to invest in an oil cooler soon.
 
Wow a lot has changed, love the spool! Must be weird hearing that in the Honda lol.
 
Oil cooler is a must IMO,
The heat tape was because I had so much left and it's pretty expensive I wanted to use it lol it looks pretty cool I think.
I can't wait to hit the ring in this, the way this car gets out of a corner now is ridiculous compared to my old one. I need abit more practice in the car to be able to drive fast in it but that comes with time so I'm not too worried.
Yeah the noise is pretty insane but I do miss the crossover if I'm honest, the spool is pretty cool but it does still drive like a honda, all the power up top. I thought I had stock 8800rpm limiter until I checked the avcr and it recorded 8972rpm lol
 
It does use vtec still, you just can't hear it over the noise of the screamer pipe/turbo whistling.

Nice build. and have fun on the ring. I was there last week, but I always find the ring a bit daunting, prefer a track day :))

Had loads of pm's from people wanting to boost their b16bs.

Best way tbh, although this came together within afew months I'd still recomend taking your time and thinking about possible issues you can have etc.
Things like better gaskets,nuts,locking washers, high strength loctite all the bits that you wouldn't think about all add up.

Talking about taking your time. It is worth taking it slow but painful none the less. I should know :lol:
 
Haha yeah but you'll have a beast to show for it with decent reliability(hopefully) almost anyone can make a turbo setup work for 200miles lol
 
Any noticeable difference to the temps with the extra wrapping. Thinking of doing mine.
 
I haven't done any scientific test but the pipe work is cooler to the touch.
