Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

Ok been out in the car, it goes really well! Not a massive torque wave but a nice, firm push all the way to redline!
No traction issues and I was trying lol had the car at 6k rpm in 2nd and floored the throttle, just pulled like a train!
Gearing does feel alittle short as it rips through them very quickly but I'm not going to change it.

Nice figures especially on a dyno dynamics rollers. Bet its a hoot to drive!

Yeah it's a great drive. Still drives like a honda just with buckets more power!
Can't wait to hit the track tbh!

Yeah i like the "low" torque number tbh, should help with traction especially as I'll be asking a lot from the tyres laterally on track already.
Romain says it should drive quite like a supercharged car and you still have to rev it to get it going which is great IMO
Will get a video soon as pos.

Its not a low torque number though, remember its low boost. It is odd how there isnt a fatter torque curve. Was it mapped that way? or is the turbo a fair size? Either or you shouldnt have to much traction issues with the linear torque curve:nice:
When do you get full boost?

Murray

Yeah I put the low in "" marks because I was being told that with 270hp I'll defo be seeing up towards 200ftlbs.
I told romain I wanted it to be progressive, drive smoothly through boost and what power it makes is the power it makes. I wanted an N/A type drive but with more power and that's what I've got really.
I'm really happy with it so far and the I got exactly what I ask for above. Plus some extra hp I wasn't expecting to see.
From the turbocharged nightmares I've driven before I was expecting the boost to just come in with part throttle but I can balance the amount off boost on the throttle smoothly and that will help on track no end.
Full boost I haven't checked the gauge yet, I've just been hanging on to the steering wheel if I'm honest lol
From feeling it's got to be around 5-5.5k

Sounds like you have a decent setup :nice: Good that you're happy with it.

Yeah in chuffed, need a good track session to test my cooling. Oil cooler is big enough it's just it's location I might change.
Got a koyo half rad ATM and it was enough to keep the car cool on the dyno but might not keep up on a trackday.

Diffuser, sideskirts and a real good clean on page one.

Holy ****, looks unreal mate  looks to have been fairly hastle-free as far as boosted builds go?

Are you just leaving the IC without some sort of guard? Not worried about debris etc?

Yeah been trouble free so far. On track the 23rd so I will find something no doubt.
Not worried about debris. The coolers pretty sturdy, cars I've had in the past had had the same an zero issues on that front, maybe it wouldn't like it if I hit the gravel trap but that's least of my worries tbh.

Yeah could help get some air in aye!
I'm more of a function over form guy though.
I'll have a track bumper with holes in for extra cooling. The money spent on a nice bumper is wasted on a track car IMO.
Could get another trackday in and learn how to drive

Looking good Jesse gotta say very impressive approach to your build aswel none of this farting around being over cautious just getting stuck in and getting job done car looks sweet!

Yeah it is. Can't wait for the first test at Bedford now!
I'm going to be abit rusty, haven't driven on track since late December.
