I'm wanting a py ek9 so bad but I've been thinking about a Jdm cw ep3 also, if you had the choice which one would sway you????

My opinion would be the 9 because they a bit rarer in my area anyway and look alot better jus drop a k20 in it lol but the ep3's are nice and cheaper now adays either way they are hondas so you carnet go wrong jus depends what you like mate

i've been in a few ep3 and i have to say i dont like them at all. i hate the interior and wasnt blown away by the handling either. they go well in a straight line and that about it! :(

ek9 with a b18c/k20

ep3 has rubbish seating position but better engine/box and debatably rarer depending on location

Bugger it I've dreamed of an ek9 and only fancy an ep3, follow your dreams as they say :)

ek9 all the way mate and when you do we will have to meet up some time as we are only 30miles up the road from each other for a min meets as i have a few friends with civic, just need to finish the k swap:naughty: :nice: should be done in in a month or two lol

i really like the jdm ep3 which will probably be my next car :p but 9's are class and i am sure you will get what you pay for with a 9 not all ep3's are that great and most of them now have higher mileages

CW JDM EP3 is way rarer than an ek9 , ive only ever seen one in the flesh , ek9's everywhere

if I could get a mint JDM ep3 for a decent price i would sell the 9.

my ex car, milano JDM EP3 was rare only one in the country. there is also a facelift silver JDM EP3 in the country. i would have a JDM ep3 any day of the week, second hand tuning parts are cheep and are easily tunable to 260bhp like mine was. basic chassis mods like lowering springs or coilovers with a fast road set up is a must. Also mine had a spoon 5.1 final drive fitted and also a uprated diff which made accelerate like the clappers and used to loves corners. I have driven a few EK9s, i do find them fast but not as fast as a JDMep3. even when i had it back to standard bar the final drive and diff, it still was fast. You wont be disappointed!

In my opinion the handling on EP3 sucks hard! And the steering is soooooo vauge! EK9 hands down for handling! Even the DC5 i drove doesn't give me the same feel as the EK9 did! Just my opinion. And i'm not talking about tuned i'm talking about standard suspension set ups.

Cant comment on a dc5's as i haven't driven one but ep3 handling ant that bad, its not great but it doesn't suck hard. All depends if you drove a uk EP3 ian? JDM EP3s have stiffer springs, thicker anti-roll bars front+rear and a quicker steering rack.

But like you said stock they are not that great but can be vastly improved with lowering springs and fast road set up, even more with coilovers. Mine handled like a dream round Snetterton.

I drove yours, a UK one and Daves DC5 for some reason i just don't like the handling of the newer type r's. Even the DC5! It was ok but just didn't give me the feedback I didn't get a connection. The biggest turn off for me is the electric power steering!

Agree with Ian, think the dc5 your talkin about was my old one when you came up, was on works wheels and ohlins coilovers and still didnt feels half as good on the turns as a 9 hence i was back in a 9 only 1 month after having the dc5 lol. As for jdm ep3's never had the pleasure but im sure they wont be as responsive through the twisties :D

'through the twisties' has to be the worst patter to ever grace the internet haha
