Hi guys after owning my ek9 for nearly 5 years and a few track days I'm after some power' (the up hill section on the Nurburgring was a real turning point lol.) After much thought I have also went ahead and bought a k20a and gearbox out of a DC5. My question is " is it wrong to k20 an ek9 ?" every time I ask my friends ect they say it's a shame! Mainly due to the rarity of our type r's and the fact they're raising in price being original. (they wouldn't mind if I k20'd a normal civic) I totally understand where people come from when saying this. Because I'm now in two minds my self. I'm not really interested in a turbo or boost because I love n/a. The engine I have bought is also 270 bhp naturally aspirated and it also has a spoon 5.1 final drive so I assume it's going to absolutely fly. Would just like to ask if any of you have regretted it? Or had these mixed emotions? It's getting closer to throwing the b series out and I don't know how I feel about it. Sorry if it's dumb/been covered/ or wrong section. Would just like a few peoples opinions.
