Guys, went and saw the ek9 today

But there were a few things that needed to be rectified

Front strut( in behind front bar) missing
Trunk strut( one on the rear tail gate missing)

The vehicle vin number looked weird
But it matches the blue plate near the radiator

Vin is EK9( funny looking nine -100568

Can someone take picture of what's behind the console where the gear shift level is
And what else should I look for before I buy it

I got te price down to 10 thousand AUD

simple things would be to:
check the engine block to see if its B16B
and check if the gearbox has big LSD writting on it
the rear lights should light up top and bottom.
check the boot to see if there is any sound deadening, there should be none.
Interior wish does it have the carbon dash, dials, red doorcards, carpet, mats and ofcourse recaros!
it should also have a tie bar already built into the rear subframe, should be 5 stud hubs with 282 dia brakes up front.
factory tinted rear windows.
no sunroof

It has all of that elchunk

But thing is, foldy mirrors sun work, when I open one door the dash say doors and rear boot is open wth

Behind the gear shift console thing

There's wires

Looks very untidy and messy

Wonder if someone can take pictures for me,
I already put a deposit on it :(

Also wat key does an ek9 have?

This one today had a black honda key, one you find from a standard Honda civic

The keys are pretty much standard, black with honda on it, nothing fancy. Did you get any pics of the car?

There was no rear strut as standard across the boot FYI so that isn't a tell tale sign. From what I remember the 9 on the chassis does look a bit strange too.....

It does sound like an EK9 from what you've said. If you have any pictures of the car stick them up and we'll confirm it for you :nice:

pics would help mate ,u want to get a few opinions on the car if ur having second thoughts and esspecially if u have already put down a deposit, which if u walk away from the deal u know ul lose it ,get some pics up mate and we will try and help.

It is an EK9 :nice:

Just check the history, engine number, etc to make sure its all as it should be, but definately an EK9

Are you sure? It has hasport mounts which I can feel every movement the engine does

To me I have a feeling it's a reshell but maybe not

Yeh, its an EK9 Shell at least : 5 stud, tinted windows, dash, interior, sunroof. Its too good too be a replica.

May have had an engine swap or just replaced mounts. Any service history? When was it imported?

No idea about history, no idea when it was imported

It has all the stickers too, even ones on the door with paint code and interior color code, drivers side has the jdm placard

Well I'd be very keen to find out this information. Is there not a log book with this information?

How rare are EK9's in Australia? 10000 AUD seems like a high price for an EK9 with no history/ import documents and in need of some cleaning up.

If there are any others around that you would consider buying, i'd take a look at them. If not make sure you find out more info on the car and its history/ engine?

What does the odometer read?

Yea surely looks like an ek9.. Has everything in the right places. People often upgrade engine mounts so I wouldnt worry about that

Awesome thanks guys

Another question what is behind the cupholder console thing? I see wires and I think a module?

The wires behind are probably to do with the radio as said above.
If you pulled out the ash tray in my EG6 there was loads of wires and modules as i had to buy a radio fequency booster as the radio booster to get UK radio stations.
TBH If it wasn't an EK9 you could sue him false advertising....
