How hard is it to put ep3 seats into ej9 ?

I've been offered a nice set of ep3 seats for ej9 for £120 doesn't include rails I think

Just wanting to know how hard it will be and will I need the rails with the seats aswell or use the ones of my ej9 ?

Need an answer fast before there gone haha !
 
when i had ep3 seats in my ej9 i used ep3 rails and didnt have any issues all bolt holes match up except 1
 
If you want to have your seat held down by only three bolts (the one that doesn't line up is the one the seltbelt is anchored to) then that's your prerogative. It won't pass MOT and could potentially kill you in a serious crash though.
 
Oh right, ain't wanting to die..... Haha so if I were to get them best bet would be to weld them onto my rails already in my car ? Correct ??.... And I've been looking and people say that the seats raise your ride height by 1-2 inches ? That also correct ?

End of the day, I need new seats because the sides had collapse and seat has become far too soft :(... Can't really afford recaros just now so that's why I'm considering ep3 seats.
 
I had an extension welded on the EP3 rails on mine so that it would line up, but it ended up snapping going round a corner, which was enough for my head to hit the window.

I'm sure if you make a good enough job of it, it might hold but honestly, I wouldn't bother.
 
My mate just told me evo 6 recaro's can fit into a ej9 ? is that true and what rails would i need for them ?
 
Dont do it !!!

I had EP3 seats in my EK and hated them !!!

I had the ep3 rail welded up and never had any problems

But they sit waaaaaaaay to high
My head was about touching the roof
They were horrible totally ruined the driving postion

My advice, stay clear !!

X2 my friend put them in his dc2 and they was an inch to big and rubbed on the head liner lol and was a nightmare trying to get in the back

x3! I done the exact same in my EK3 and it wasnt good!!
 
x1230340 ep3 seats just make you hate getting into your car. they sit so wrong.
you can get a set of vti seats for about £50 ish. have a look for them. and they'll bolt straight in.

Yes, all Evo, dc5 and premier ep3 recaros fit. All you need is ek9 recaro seat rails. :)
