Click me for bad news!

This is ashame as Honda slowly showed signs of their car becoming stronger towards the end of the season.

Honda have also stated they will no longer be supplying the engines to other F1 cars!

Discuss :)

It is a sad day, but i can understand the hard choice they have had to make!

Its not so rosey for there road cars either i know some1 who works for there main headquarter in swindon they are laying people of and completely stopping production in feb and march.... Sounds like they are having problems...

On the formula 1 side of things they never had the car imo and Jenson Button is the biggest waste of space.

This is not true no one in F1 is rubbish between the fastest and slowest cars on the track, it is like 2 seconds.:bow:You try that:))

Thats your opinion. Thought that comment might trigger debate.

If you play the game you should expect the stick that goes with it. IMO Jenson has never been very good and Honda have never had a championship winning car or even a competitive one.....:blabla:

Entirely true otherwise they would have had good results end of. :thanks:

imo f1 is boring. theres only 2 teams in it really. moto GP thats were the action is.

but it is sad that the credit crunch business has caused honda to drop out of the F1

im no bike fan but would openly admit moto gp is more exciting to watch than f1.
the difference is a modern f1 battle consisits of two cars trying to beat sector times inorder to jump people while pitting.
moto gp however reminds me of that old playstation game called road rash :)
the bikes do actually go past one another like the cars in f1 should.
in moto gp someone on an inferior bike who is talented can perform way beyond expectations
and fight for the lead.
now lets be honest that just dont happen in f1 and should be a regular spectacle for excitement. whats better than a underdog coming through to win (any one dare try mention alonso as an underdog should be strangled) :)

^^^hit the nail on the head.

as much as F1 interests me i still find it boring to watch. ill have it on in the background but i cant waitch a whole race. F1 is facinating i mean what they do with those cars is amasing. but moto gp is good old fashioned racing

i ride myself and i understand the skill and balls it takes to ride those things like that. so that makes it more interesting to me but hay thats my opinion

better safe than sorry..We are at the beginning of an economic crisis and the worst thing to do would be to cut down on workforce and maintain some prestige F1 racing team with minor chances of achieving some decent places in the championship.

Moto GP rules!!! I also ride and really appreciate the skill level required!
Bit off topic.

On F1 they should BAN pitstops and reduce the laps. One tank one set of tyres!!! Got no other choice then but OVERTAKE! :wow:

Anyway hopefully Honda will sell the engines of cheap so i can fit one to my civic!!! Honda F1 powered 2.4L V8 EK4!! I like the sound of that! :win:

it is a bad day for all the honda fans. I mean after all the f1 team was costing honda somewhere around the 300 million dollars every year and without proper results. so you really cannot blame them in their choice, even when considering that their average sales for this year went down by 40%.

Still i would have liked honda to supply engines to other teams. the engine is just so perfect....pity. Now we're all gonna end up with FORD engines. That really IS the culmination of F1 disaster. Now all the FIA should do is change the name from Formula 1 to Champ car series coz its gonna be practically the same. I mean what incentive is there anymore for the car manufacturers to stay in f1 as a team?

Can you imagine? Toyota F1 racing team..........with a Ford engine. The stupidest thing ever to happen to F1. the way I see it, there seems to be a bet between Max Mosley and Bernie ecclestone. Who will be the first to ruin F1?

They IMO runied it long ago. But they are bordering on destroying it!

Glad others share the same opinion. Old school F1 was fantastic:nice:

IMO it has gone down hill ever since they changed from slicks to grooved tyres. Its just got worse and worse....

So sad:angry:

Yep uptill the v10 era f1 was really exciting and you really could distinguish the different engine sounds of the various manufacturers. And we're not mentioning the crazy speeds they could achieve......there are still some lap records from that era. from there onwards, cars got slower, more restrictions, stewards seemed to punish any form of overtaking and practically took away the vital things in F1. IMO the best era was the 1980's. In those days you really had to have BIG balls to drive an F1, they were very difficult to drive...and scary.

GP2 and F3 have become much more exciting these days.

yep your right divinu, in the 80's big balls where also needed for Group B rallying.

sensible business decision by honda, hard times ahead for all manufacturers, id even expect new nsx to delayed now by year or 2, terrible time to even launch car like that in middle of recession

still, many people in world who have stupid amounts of money so always be backers for
F1
