Your using your neck to pull your self up hense the aching place each hand on each ear and stare at one place in the ceiling using a excersize ball I the best you can do for your core if that makes sense because you are using your balance which is putting pressure on your abs so you only make lil movements and this does not effect your back or neck!!

Yeah I do that but after 2 sets of 40 (3 different types) it starts to ache
You think it is just because my abs arnt able to do much more?
 
As cr1s said really, but I have the usual breakfast, dinner and tea, will eat around 10ish and 3 aswell (usually when I crave food). Mostly carbs, and meat (chicken). I probably eat around 4k calories a day with the amount of running im doing at the minute as I really want to hit my target sub 1h 20min 1/2 marathon.

Will be aiming for 1h 10-15m for my 1/2 next month. :nice:

Try doing less reps more sets as soon as you feel your neck and back aching stop take a 45 sec rest and continue onto more sets as you arnt benifitting once you ache hope this makes sense !
 
I'm currently building now for a comp I maybe entering an I'm training atleast 5 days a week! I use protein, glutamine and creatine and I have added about 1 stone of muscle! What are you wanting to achieve?

I take it that will be a natural comp? If your on Facebook have a look at Valhalla Gym Wrexham. That's were I train, good bunch of lads there some do the comps.

x2 4 sets of 15-20 is more than enough for one exercise and if your diet is clean ull see a good difference but on one of the days have a cheat meal like a chinese or whatever you fancy as dan said its fine to have a cheat meal or snack as long as your not eating alot all at once as thats how chunk is coming across. you listened to me about the optimum nutrition,good man haha best pound for pound protein on the market,altho atm im on phd pharma whey and seem to be getting good gains. Im on the phd and bsn cellmass (creatine) atm and getting decent gains so far,only so much you can afford when your out of work :(

yeah I get you, i tried that video and it was actually pretty good :) cheers to who ever posted that :nice:
I did A-level P.E but you would be surprised how little they teach you about actually working out and how much they focus on how well you can do a sport lol
 
Anyone use creatine? Is it worth buying? If so, I assume the powder has more effect than the capsules?
 
Yes try kre-alkalyn by Vyomax tablet form, take 4-6 a day no need to load or cycle. Drink plenty of water 1.5L a day :)

cellmass is a good creatine by bsn ive used a few and this was the best,wouldnt bother with the cheap **** or all in one supplements
 
I'm using met-rx capsules at the moment they work for me! 6 a day and as ek9cub says drink loads of water!
 
Anyone heard of a brand named Deluxe Nutrition? I'm probably going to go for the creatine powder, works out far better value for money, double the servings :)

If I take the powder version, can I mix it with my protein shake or is that not recommended?

No it doesn't Im not to sure shouldn't effect anything I personally wouldn't do it!!

dont think it means with as in same shaker i think it means with as it at the same time as thats what i do

Yea that's the whole idea of an unflavoured creatine, mix it with ur protein drink or even juice... Nothing wrong with mixing it together. Think bout it you can buy protein with added creatine and glutamine all in 1.
 
i get my creatine powder from myprotein.com they have a lot of stuff on there site. i v been lifting for about 4 months but had to stop due to something called frozen shoulder anyone on here ever had it ?
