GT5 = biggest failure ever created for a games console! EVER!


My problems with GT5 is the glitchy shadow effects.
I personally cannot forgive them for that.
Also the 2D trees are shite.
Would have been nice to be able to go to specific tuners for parts.
Standard cars suck on photo mode.
Sounds could have been better but they aint bad.

I believe the higher your level the more the damage gets better.

Another thing, the more you crash your car the more it costs to repair, and there's no warnings. Went to GT auto and found my chassis needed a 20k repair. This is realistic but a warning would have been nice. Went crashing around to check the damage out.
 
Im not a forza fan boy but the crashes on that game are mega compared and photo mode with every car!!
 
the missus bought this for me today so will get in about it tonight and see whats what :D
 
Tbh it's the kinda game where the more you play it the better it gets and the more you wanna play it with every spare minute you can get
You HAVE! to play it with a steering wheel with force feedback to really get into it
 
I'm loving this game too, people who have only played Forza and compare it to that always hate it at first. It's like some stupid console rivalry crap, by people who take gaming way too serious.
 
If your load times are slow, consider selecting the option to copy the data onto the PS3's hard disk, though it'll need between 4-6GB disk space. Has already been two updates since I first inserted the disc into the PS3, so bound to be loads more. Updates don't half take some time though, was stuck on 45 seconds left for over 5 minutes!!
Agree that the sounds are poor, but they do get better if you modify your car

yeah thats what i done just uploaded it to the hard drive and have no problems with the loading time at all :D

love it so far agree with the exhaust/engine sounds though could be a bit better but part from that its all good :D

Well, after the long install last Wednesday I was able to play on Saturday night. I love it! Not a ton better over GT4, but its better. I love the Top Gear track too! Always wanted to see it from the drivers perspective...and never knew it was a "figure 8" track!

No, the cars do not sound exactly like real life, but this is a game folks! Close enough for me!

Lastly, the kart racing, wow! Now that's a ton of fun!
 
Am not too bad, just patient to keep going for gold. Love gran turismo games and no exception with this one even with its flaws i just play with what they have gave me !
 
i find it virtually impossible to get golds on some of them

if i get a silver ill move on and wont settle for bronze
 
So do we have a place where we can all race our EK9's online with GT5?
That would be epic to race against all you folks!
