good tires?

some thing to do with tyre flex from what i can work out
there loads of posts of the dc2 forum about thats one of the reason the teg guys use lotus made tyres
so sticky tread and a hard side wall can improve handling

drag cars use soft side walls with sticky rubber to aid in the launch, roadracers need stiff sidewalls with sticky rubber to aid in handling, if the sidewall was too soft on a roadrace car the tread blocks would squirm and it would have bad handling, also the tire could seperate from the rim.

Just read through this post and still can't decide on what tyres to buy lol I'm able to get two 195/50/15 RE01R delievered for 90pounds but not to sure on them because ive heard there not to good in the wet. I live in scotland so as you all know it rains quite a bit so what tyre should i go for?

I'm going to add that soft sidewalls will cut down on your turning response and the crispness of direction changes. Stiff sidewalls help the car feel like its on rails and gives you quicker, more controllable changes in direction.

Apologies for dragging this thread up again....but I still can't decide on what tyres to get...

Budget isn't really an issue as I can get them all pretty cheap as I know a tyre supplier. But I need something that is predominantly a street tyre with occasional track use.

The weather is pretty mild with a fair bit of rain so I need a kind of intermediate really.

At the moment I'm thinking Eagle F1's, Hankook RS2's and Toyo T1-R's, but if someone has anything else to suggest I'd like to hear it :)
