Going From 4.4 to 4.785

Well i am getting a real good deal on a 4.785 final drive from a integra here in japan, and i want to swap it out with mine.
i have a 99 Ek9 with the 4.4 final drive.
my question is:
do i need the counter shaft from the integra transmission? or any other parts? or will just the final drive gear be enough to do the swap?
and if you know any other parts i'll need to do this please let me know.

Top of the Transmission forum is the official gearbox upgrade thread, had you read it you would have had your answer, but here you go these are the parts needed and corresponding part numbers:

41233-P80-E30 4.785 DIFERENTIAL RING GEAR
23421-P80-E30 COUNTERSHAFT FIRST GEAR
91107-P80-E30 FIRST GEAR NEEDLE BEARING (you will need 2)
91211-P21-008 DAMPER FRICTION
23914-P80-E30 COLLAR RING
23221-P80-E30 4.785 COUNTERSHAFT

so you are saying that i need all of these parts?
i cant use just the final drive and the counter shaft from the 4.785?

ok i have a question about this photo.
what parts are all included in this photo??
i know the final drive, and counter shaft,
but the gear thats on the counter shaft... is that one of the parts listed??
i do trust you Blinx, i just want to make sure and get what i need thats all.

I got that info from rvm a while back, i believe he did the mod himself.

The only parts shown in this photo is the ring gear and the countershaft.

The parts blinx listed are not shown.

This is the main reason why we at MFactory have developed a final drive that does not require these additional parts...we are the ONLY company to have a 4.7/4.9 for the B-series that is a direct drop in should you wish to keep your original first gear.
 
And it would prob be cheaper for you to get our "direct drop in" 4.785 FD, than it would be to "upgrade" to the oem 4.785. Not to mention the slightly increased performance.
 
Yeh that will save a lot on parts cost and man labor. Nice one!
 
so i can reuse my EK9 1st gear syncro???
and 1-2 syncro hub??

You can re-use everything (provided the parts are in good condition)
