Ime having my gearbox rebuilt at the moment (syncro's lol, oem lsd, 4.643 final drive) . I was wondering what gearbox oil to use? is there diffrent grades of honda mtf e.g. mtf1, mtf2, mtf3 ?

Yup, only use Honda MTF (unless you are using a clutch-type LSD which you are not). I'm not sure if they have MTF2 in the UK or not though, but the original MTF is sufficient :)

i was wondering the same thing, time to consult our official gearbox upgrade thread *runs to gearbox thread* ... ... ... ... ... *returns* okay it appears that a few companies offer a 4.64:

spoon 4.643
circuit worx 4.636
OS Gikien 4.643
 
Its a spoon final drive, i also have a lightweight flywheel to go on. Do you think it will make a fair bit of diffrence?
 
honda mtf 3 has been available in u.k for a while now but all the grades are fine, just depends what dealer you use as many dont even use honda mtf so ask specifically when you buy some
 
cheers for your help guys ive managed to sort out some mtf3 from colliers honda. I will let you all know what diffrence the mods have.
