apart from not having to port the original intake to match the larger throttle body, what benefit is there in running a skunk inlet manifold over OEM? i was under the impression that they were effectively a Type r copy for non type r's in the states?

Yes im sure this is correct also and have heard what jimbo said to also be correct regarding the larger plenem chamber on the skunk2's, reason i had to change it is the one thats on the car is from a b18c6 and some genius tuner in ireland (who shall remain nameless ) thought it would be a good idea to try and match it up to a gsr head which as you can imagine aint the best fit So hence the purchase

ta, not sure yet still to be mapped and that again but going by the speed of it id say around 200+bhp somewhere... very quick

cheers man, yeah wouldnt usually buy a car thats already had work done but i fell in love when i seen it and if i had built a project from scratch it would of ended up looking like this anyway plus got it for absolute pennys

cheers boss has an exhaust blow from where the mani meets the decat as well gasket needs changed so should have sounded better

Cheers man, yeah inlet and tb are second hand came off a high comp b18 build have been port+polished and fully cleaned up and that hence they look spanking
Will be fitted in the next week or 2 then up to get the vafc removed and have it mapped up properlly..... cant wait lol

thanks man, yeah me to as had a wee run with a b18c6 cam'd itb'd fully mapped ek9 last night and mine was quicker and gave a k20'd ek a fright as well

The b18 in my 9 is quick I can blitz most cars on the road. Mate from the gym with a boxster s came out in mine and was shocked. Just need a head to head with him now
