For those interested in DC5 vs ek9 performance

2k+ for a good one.
Spend that on a dc5. Intake, inlet, cat back. Mani. Throttle body and kpro and it will reach 250+.

Never heard of power to weight? EK9 B18C > DC5

And teh B18C might cost you 2k but you still have a B16B to sell (why does no one ever think about that?)

Oh and how much is Kpro, mani, cat back, throttle body, inlet mani? I'd guess around £2500+++

prob over that all new, kpro is about 1k including map "secend hand" Exhaust is 1.3k brand new for full system "cheap 1" Inlet 500, and grump m intake is 500.

About 3.3k +

Aye so the ek9 is just going to have a standard b18c in it with no exhaust etc??
Also in that vid the dc5 had a passenger and has full interior. Ek9 had no passengers and it was stripped.
 
Hmmmm well im taking my 5 to the ring over easter weekend, i did a 8:50 BTG in my 9 with coilovers, and spoon calipers. 5 only has a 5ziegn cat back exhaust so ill see what BTG i can get and what one i think is better then :p

5 deffo quicker in a stright line than my 9, but my 9 handled better.

and the price difference of the car? about 2k? so more or less the same.
 
dc5 suspension is not a fully independent setup.
...done and done.

was not stripped, had rear seats removed, under 20kg.

I could drive in with my b16b and drive out b18 from a reputable tuner for £1300 pxing my engine.
 
ad rather have a b18 ek9 , i had a k-pro ep3 running 250bhp i no its not a dc5 but similar engine,an sold it to get another ek9 theres just somthing about them , just need the b18 now lol

I have been up against a couple DC5s on track, pretty much neck and neck with my EK9. Can always tell the DC5s have the edge, once the 9 is in forth you can clearly see the DC5s starting to pull away then catch them again under breaking, its the same against EP3's neck and neck till top end.
