For sale section ( too many sticky's )

Would it be an idea to delete half of those sticky's? Most of them are for businesses, should they not be in vendors section to begin with? I can understand the rules being a sticky but not the other ones. Aswell they take up half the page. Just my opinion. Anyone else agree??
 
+3 then you wouldn't have to sift through 3 pages to find what people are trying to sell :)
 
I'm glad other people agree. Hopefuly one of the admin will see this and get rid of half them or give their opinion on this

Agreed, far too much clutter taking up the page!

I've looked into it and removed a couple that are out of date or irrelevant stickys. The rest remain solely because they are in use and the Vendors pay for this right to have a sticky thread. So they can not be deleted or moved as they would then not be getting there advertisement which they pay for.

I don't mean to sound like an ass but whats the point in the the "EK9.org's Vendor Marketplace" then? I understand they pay for the right to sell on the site but why have a specific section for traders if they are not obliged to use it? From my understanding of the forum the "EK9.org's Vendor Marketplace" is for traders and the For Sale is for private sellers. It's pointless having both if both are not needed as it is at the moment.

I'm not criticising the site in any way, just giving my opinion and I have ideas for solutions before anyone starts slating me!
 
I'd like to extend this to the Engine forum too, the stickies take up almost half the page. Any chance of shunting them all into one FAQ thread like the suspension forum?

Any update on this ? Also noticed that the max three posts in for sale section seems to have gone out the window lately as well.
How about a seperate thread for cars that are being broken for parts.
 
Or a separate section for vendors to sell there stuff so there will be no stickys in the for sale section.
 
Vendors Marketplace seems to be used by Tegiwa, Sim Auto, etc companies as such, are a few stickies by various companies in main for sale sections, but rest are people breaking cars.

Isnt just the stickies though, for example VTec Performance - have about 6 or 7 threads on the go which are all reguarly bumped to the top. End up having to go and look back through pages just for private sales!

i have been posting in the for sale thread recently but tried to keep it to a minimum..
so my bad if i am clogging it up. :(

but as you say Vtec performance is clogging it up alot more than me and i think i only had 3 at the max maybe 4 but i don't bump them everyhour.

no offnece aimed at Vtecperformance at all, i'm sure he's a nice guy

p.s just realised the date on this thread. :((
