I might be my getting 1st DX Hatchback pretty soon depending on if I can get a fair purchase price for it. Help me out and say what you would pay for the car and anything I should ask the seller before I buy it?? I will try my best to get all the details of the car.

5 Speed Manual Stick Shift 1997 DX Hatchabck with a swapped B16a2 engine from a Honda 2000 Si. a (GSR transmission?? <--- that's what seller said??) Both the engine and transmission have 50,000 miles. (I do not know how many miles are on the chassis)

EXTERIOR**

-always garaged
-no nicks/scratches/dents
-new bright white paint (said it cost him $3000)
-carbon fiber hood
-carbon fiber spoiler (not sure what to call that thing)
-black headlights housing
-darkened tail light housing
-new rims (not sure what kind or if you can figure that out)
-camber kits

ENGINE**
-aftermarket intake
-innovative motor mounts
-DC exhaust
(not sure tell what else had been done)

INTERIOR**
-seats taken from a Honda 2000 Si
-Mugen gauge cluster
-stereo system
-detachable aftermarket steering wheel
-all custom color interior body panels

All info is recalled from memory and pictures because the seller took down the advertisement. I am definitely forgetting stuff here but I tried my best. He wants $7000 and I cant spend that much on a 1997 hatchback. What would you pay for the car realistically? Thank you to all who gave me some input. If there is anything else you might want to know just ask me and I will try to recall as much as i can. And here are the pictures...

You may have noticed that in the pictures, the rear trunk is open just slightly. he forgot to shut the trunk and it does close,it's just not closed all the way in the picture.

I am going to see the car this week and would like to get some good feed back before I go and please let me know if you think I should be aware of anything before I buy it or if there is something I should ask, thanks! :thanks:

this is not ek9,cluster dont look like a mugen one.
my opinion for the interior remove all blue parts and the playstation steering wheel.

If I wanted help with anything other than purchase price I would have asked. Do not post anything at all if you do not have anything relevant to say.

id pay way less than half of what he's asking. that interior is vomit too.

I don't know about US prices, but $7k would be EK9 money in the UK! Under no circumstances I would pay that for the car in the pictures. It had engine swapped but original rear drum brakes retained??? Also, be careful whenever you are buying a freshly re-sprayed car. Granted, sometimes people respray their car just to freshen it up, but a fresh lick of paint can also hide any recent repairs, so bear that in mind. To answer your question - is the car worth $7k? Not to me!

No more than 3000 dollars. But as said we don't no the American market.

Wouldnt pay 7000$ mate, would only offer 3500 at the most.but there again, dont know what it would be worth over there.

in agreement with the boys worth about 3000, interior needs ripped out and bodywork doesn't look like a 3000 job in my opinion

In Ireland that car would be lucky to make 1500 euros

Have no idea what the US market values them at

The bloke should give YOU some money to drive away in that lol

Email Michaelflare on here he is from the us and has built an amazing ek9 rep ... He will be able to point you in the right direction and give his opinion on how much cars like this fetch in the US as most people commenting here are from uk . Good luck

I wouldnt pay anything for this car but i would expect it to be priced around $2600, which is around £1600 based on the uk market.

Lol i totally agree. Ek9? Who the hell convinced you that was a REAL EK9 lol it could not be any further from the truth lol piece of junk. Remember a ek9 is only rhd and they don't come with the black moudings and that is not even half of the to do list lol.

You sound like a nice bloke - I think you should definitely buy it :)

It's a bargain, trust me...
