F1 to award double points for last race...

Lets hope the questionable form of traction controll that Red Bull's RB9 on Vettel's car is not there on the 2014 car.

The double points system for me doesn't really solve a solution on one sided driver championships, I think this year will come down to the nail, double points will probably make the championship even more one sided. As I said before, they should bring back refuelling; this along with different tyre compounds should make for very exciting racing. I do think that the whole "paid" driver thing should be wiped out, but again it's always been like this so I doubt there is a way to change this.

Why do you think refuelling would improve things? It just essentially means longer pitstops, and it rubs out some of the pace advantage from new tyres as the cars are heavier with fuel. It's not that long ago that it was done last and it didn't make racing especially exciting, in fact I think they reverted back because all the overtaking was taking place in the pits rather than on the circuit.
Besides that, it's sort of contrary to what they are trying to do with the rules at the moment where they are trying to make the 'powertrains' more fuel efficient so I think there's pretty much zero chance of us ever seeing it again.

Not that I agree with the double points finale in the slightest, but technically it will keep the title battle alive for longer. Anyone with a gap of 49 points or less from the leader on the last race will still be in with a chance of taking the title. Whereas at the moment you would have to be with 25.

I just wish I was around to watch Senna race!

I hope the other teams step their game up in 2014...that was probably the biggest disappointment for me.

The new engines will certainly be interesting especially with the added torque, however I think the regs for the cars in 2014 are a little boring especially with looks fuel usage & downforce reduction.

Bring back the 3.0 V10’s and flat out racing imo!!
