So last week was a fair bit crappy..
First I parked at school where I usually do, up the front. Was only there from 5pm - 7pm. Got home, and something on the front of my car caught my eye. Not knowing what it was, I turned on the front house light and I found..
Wasn't very happy. At first I thought maybe it could have been a car (but there was no one in the car park, and if it was a car, my front bar would have got damaged as well.) Then I realized the dent/pattern looked alot like a work boot, as if someone stepped on it with their
heel.
Well whatever it is, there was a dent on my bonnet, and I wasn't happy at all. There are also no cameras facing that car park. Which also sucks.
So it was time for a temporary fix..
The day after this, I noticed on of my tires was flat. So I went to pump it up, at a petrol station but none of the compressors fit on the valve as it was too small. Tried using an extension but still wouldn't pump. So went to the "Tyre Factory" next door to where I got the extensions.
I asked them to
pump up the wheels for me, just so I could see if it's leaking and where from.
The dude pumps it up, I go to get it off him. He tells me he'd be a minute. Takes the tire to the back, comes back. And gets a angle grinder and puts it to the rim!
After a huge bang, I ask him what he's doing. Got no reply. He seemed to be trying to "replace" the valve? Half hour later, comes back saying h can't fix it cos the jap valves are to small and the Aussie valves can't fit in the hole!
He then goes on, blah blah, saying I need to either get another jap valve, or get the hole engineered to get it bored out bigger.
I went on to tell him, I
ONLY wanted to get it pumped up. And they kept saying that the valve was leaking. They never gave a receipt for this (because it was only suppose to be pumped, and I think the guy thought he was doing my a favor) so I have nothing to show what they did. And the manager in charge at the time had okay'd / told me he'd take care of the job (pumping up the tire).
Sooooo now I'm back to rolling on stock as I don't want the mix matched look.
I went to a place who deals with ordering wheels (RAYS, WORK etc) straight from japan and asked them what they think. The guy said that my chances of getting another one are really slim, since the design is so old, and they have more then likely updated the valves etc. And also that he has no idea why you would cut off the valve stem.
He told me to come back later in the week, and he would try and get in touch with dealers japan to see if they can help out.
Ahh not good..
