EK9 TURBO BUILD 423 BHP

Well done !! Would love to hear her bark ! Also would you not need more crank case pressure released from valve cover? Specially with 400+ BHP hope it goes well tomorrow and you happy with your hard work
There is 2 fittings welded into the cover and a breather tank next to the battery (not pictured yet) that should be fine hopefully

Cut the bumper bar in half because of the intercooler, didn't fancy loosing it all together. This way I keep the brackets that hold the bumper up and half a bumper bar is better then no bumper bar in a crash if I was unlucky enough to ever have one :/

Yep some is better than none!! Sorry I didn't see them bungs , I'm definitely in for more updates!

Cars running!!! Everything seems fine at the moment.

Setting the ignition timing and have a problem.

I haven't got enough adjustment on the dizzy to get to 16 degrees.

Any ideas ?

I just had that problem! And it was because I bought a new dizzy that was limited to 1 3 degrees,
I gave it back and got a different one that worked,
But in the process of fixing the problem,
Iv seen people online having same problem caused by
There woodruff key in the crank stretching, leaving some play in the crank which messed up there timing.

Maximum adjustment one way and it was like 10 degree . It's the stock ek9 dizzy but is the b18c4 pulley

Are you running stock cams? Head skimmed at all?

Distributor should be compatible, are you setting it off the tdc mark with timing light set to 16? And are your leads in the correct position?

Ek9 cams
Heads fine
When I started the dizzy was in the centre of the slots and it was close to the tdc mark. Moved the dizzy and it was getting closer to 16 degrees but then run out of adjustment.

Did You let car heat up first and rad fan come on?
Service wire jumped,
What is you rpm when up to temps at idil ,

I think you're doing something wrong, or a tooth out. I've never heard of a c4 dizzy being different @Vtec6000 may know better....

What timing light are you using and what is it set to? 0 or 16?

Nope
And nope as I'm using hondata and didn't think I needed it ......? Am I wrong?
And rpm was low as was the temp

Let car heat up first and fan come on then go again,
I don't know if you need to jump service wire with hondata s 300 but I'm sure @Vtec6000 can clear that up
Cheers I'll try again tomorrow. What's the difference between cold and hot when doing it ?

It needs to be at natural warm idle, 750-800 rpm, you don't have to wait for the fan.

If the fan cuts in the iacv will raise the idle which you don't want.

You should be able to lock the timing if you have the hondata program on your lap top.

Set your timing light to 16' (if it's a digital or adjustable light)and time it from your tdc mark.
