Suspected oil pump failure for Tim, everyone is gutted for him considering the issues his gone through with engines lately :((

ADAC have come to the rescue and the car will be getting transported back to the UK, he's riding shotgun back with me
 
Absolutly gutted for Tim really nice guy and I know he wasnt happy during the weekend I hope its not caused any other problems and it all works out ok.

bit of a pain thou when things like that happen so far from home.
 
As said massive gutter, Did it cause any further damage?? I guess it will need looking it to find out exactly.

always worse when this stuff happens abroad :( At least everyONE is OK tho :nice:

Bet it was still 100% awesome until this happened! :)
 
Thanks guys... was a bit of a **** when it happened but still managed to get some good laps in before it went, was working my way down to the high 8mins but sadly go cut short. :((

Got to say a massive thanks to the guys with us for helping me out moving the car and sorting bits out. Extra mention for Steven who was a complete legend letting me ride along for a few laps the later half of the week to keep my spirits up and also deviating from his already huge journey home to Scotland to drop me off at reading station. Thanks man your a legend!

Damage wise it definitely needs a new oil pump again, also at least one bearings is shot so we'll be looking to replace those again if the crank is still ok.

Fingers crossed the bores and head are ok... if not I don't think I can handle rebuilding it to that level again...

Love that second pic steve I'm jealous I didnt find many pics of my car should have done more laps :p just watching your vid although I know first hand now just how quick you are :bow:

Nice kerbage :D 5th gear seems to last an age about 6mins! Caterham looked a real pain. Good pics so far, good to see all home safe, hope DV8 motor sorted sharpish :nice:
