Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.........

I picked up my EK9 yesterday. Absolutely love it!

Only issue i have with the car is that when the car is in low revs ie 1500 - 3000 i get quite a nasty kangarooing on hard acceleration. Its worse on hard acceleration but if im really gentle with the throttle its almost normal

Any ideas what might be causing this? Going to have a look at it tonight but just wanted some ideas as to what to look for

Cheers guys/gals

Could be faulty map sensor or tps. Does it happen with engine cold and hot?

they sometimes do kangaroo slightly in low revs as mine does it as well but as i accelerate it does stop it! but tbh i have never heard of it kangarooing the higher you accelerate, i would say maybe a faulty sensor as well

Thanks guys

Yeah it happens when the engine is either hot or cold

Would this show a fault code on the ecu? Reason I ask is that I have a scanguageII, would this fit the diagnostic plug?

Have your ignition timing checked make sure it's set at 16degrees btdc or middle mark on pulley. Might be worth while to fit some new plugs aswell.

what are the engine mounts like are they in good condition? altho it does sound sensor related

Are you sure you havent got a kangaroo under your bonnet ?

Thanks for the ideas folks. Looks like a spark plug was the offender :D

Fitted a fresh set and all seems good now :win:
