EK4 budget racer


erm, yep. Done it ages ago - see page 4 ;)

Just laquered the top door bars as from past experience paint there just gets scratched all to hell from the harness buckles and sliding myself and bits of kit in and out of the car.

Race1 from the VTEC Challenge at Donington Park

Started 9th of 14 with a 1:24.100. Got away from the line ok and although i could have a look, settled in behind Rich Chilton before the first turn. In hindsight looks like it might have been a good decision as Adam Robert's slide around Redgate had a knock on effect of a few collisions through the pack which I mostly managed to avoid with the exception of getting a bit of a tap in the back bumper. Followed Stuart King and then Richard Chilton through the race occasionally getting close but never enough to make any sort of attempt at getting past but very happy with the pace I was driving at. Came home 8th with a best lap of 1:23.008.
 
Mate it my job guaranteed weekends off I would me racing there with you.......
May I ask what you do for a living?
And what coilovers are they

Be good to get you out there Lee. Would be definitely be good to get a couple more EKs in the series.

I'm IT field support engineer for the Co-operative group. Meaning I basically drive around South Wales to shops and pharmacies etc doing hardware maintenance for their computers and EPOS stuff. I work 1 in 3 weekends at the moment so I for a few of the rounds I've had to swap shifts with people.

And I'm using HSD HR coilovers with standard EK4 ARBs.
