EJ9 Intake Manifold Question!!

Hey Guys,
I have an EJ9 1.4 1998 and I wanted to make an air intake system. But I bought the car with:: a square box with a square filter foam in it and a pipe coming from that same filter that is open from the other end of the box =S

Now the thing is I wanted to get an intake manifold so that I can make a HUGE ass air filter so I get a little prepared for my engine swap. Would a 1.6l engine intake manifold fit on my 1.4? or would I have to find one that fits only into a 1.4? =/

Also how much is a good new air intake manifold approx?

So I practically have to change to d16 to start modding up the car basically? =/
 
You can use the D16 IM (intake manifold) to do a swap for you d14 IM, or if you want just put smth like a shunk intake instead. Come and visit

Imho spending money on a D14 is bs, you can put a lot of money in it but because it's only a 1.4 and nothing in that engine was built to perform it still won't be fast.
 
header, decat, and full exhuast and breathing mods and you are looking at at least £800

i sold my B16A2 for £380 with everything needed to make it run and convert an EJ9 to B power..

persoanlly i'd say look around and wait for a nice B16 to pop up.... its a no brainer if you ask me..
