nope, just the stiffner needs to be removed or shaved down, or changed to a b series flywheel cover.

its just the bracket you need to cut that runs from the gearbox under the sump and its only on the type R as far as i know as they have a thicker bracket but im sure if you use the bracket off the b16a2 they fit no problem as its just a thin bracket
 
ah so if you have a B16A2 engine these Hytech copies will fit with no modifications? please say yes, i have my eyes on one for my brother's EK4 SiR sedan. i don't want to buy that Z-Speed hytech copy here for $900.
 
they will fit ...it will just hang even lower due to the shorter deck height of the 16A vs. the 16B.
 
If your ek4 is lowered I dont suggest you get these headers as they hang quite low. I scraped mine already driving on country road at a bit of speed and the road was bit bumpy and as the car moved up and down slightly and it scraped :( hacing said that my car is really low.

thanks for the heads up & no my brother's EK4 isn't lowered, roads here in my place aren't very friendly with lowered cars, it's his family car which is why he bought a 4dr SiR sedan.

ye they look really good copies going by my mate haribos they look very close even if they aint quite as good as the real thing they have to be up there with the top manifolds

in the photo viewing under the car you can see the brace was swapped for a flywheel cover off a non-type R B series
