Hey boys, just wanted to write up a review of this header I have finally got installed in my ek9.
My EK9 had a b18cr conversion, Js racing intake, 2.5 inch catless exhaust, and honda 4-1 98 spec JDM headers off an integra.
The only change was the headers. First of all there more torque everywhere in the rev range. Ive done modifications before to cars, but this is the most I feel any REAL gain in. I could feel the gain the moment I gave it some gas starting from 2500 rpm. vtec has gotten louder, and goes through the revs alot quicker. A well worth investment in my opinion.
Now the down side. Firstly, these headers are longer than the factory headers, therefore they exhaust needs to be modified to fit, but simple enough it should only take 30-40 min tops.
secondly in the slip joins(the headers are 2 piece) they looked like they will leak, and quite a few people had them leaking, so I took no chances and got them welded(extra cost).
Thirdly and lastly the ground clearance is not as good as youd expect. It hangs a good 3-4 cm lower than the sump, hence my car being quite low I think will scrape when going over speedbumps. but I shall solve it by driving over it diagonally
The headers I got were brushed stainless steel, and now have turned to a nice dark gold/bronze colour. looks beutiful under the bonnet after a bit of driving.
Ill post pics soon, and for 330 USD and around 100 USD to install, The best thing Ive done to my car so far. comes on par with the conversion I did for it.
Cheers
