Long story short
Just finished a customers car off today......
Several exhaust fabrication specialists - One of them being 'Powerflow' (UK exhaust franchise/company) claimed it couldn't be done..... tut tut tut

Customer car:
RS 500 (No 3 off 500)

Job:
Exhaust 4" from turbo back split into 2x 2.5" exiting before the rear wheels

So lets getting fabing... lots of 316 stainless, and V-band joints

Not alot of space to work with to start off with

The guy used to complain that the 3" system he had on there used to knock on the Tranny bracket so i needed to make this fit perfect for clearance reasons and no knocking either

Now the split section, I had even less space to work with, especially where I needed to find 2 boxes to fit in somewhere.

Exhaust Boxes where made to measure
Next problem...
Where the side exit pipes had to go, the lift arms where there, plus if he ever needed to jack the car up they would be in the way of the jacking points so I had to make the exit pipes detachable.....

As you can see, I used 2.5" V-band kits right off the boxes

And here is the end piece peeps
Enjoy   8) but imagine 1 on each side

Nice work :nice: Just goes to show the so called 'experts' don't always know best!

Never have i seen a full exhaust that wide before

nice pipe, shame those fords are so damn rusty underneath

what and you can't respect the workmanship gone into that zaust?

:angry2:

That's a nice exhaust sir but i cant really get whats the big deal about it. We modify alot of xhaust here and cheap too..

Sorry TS.

So if it was a Mugen NSX RR you wouldn't be interested?

You want the truth sir? Yes, im not intersted even if its a Mugen NX RR coz i cant afford the damn thing. I am only interested on what i have and what i can have. :)

Nice R500, I used to have a Merkur XR4Ti, same body... and that's about it. And even the bumpers are different...

those comments make you sound like an idiot, especially only being interested in what you have, very closed minded.

on top of that have a read of your post, then a read of your sig.

"type out your DAMN words"

jeesus man. :nono:

and to the OP - nice work, crazy sized pipe, not sure about the choice of dual side exit myself but cant fault your work!

(except mabe putting that lovely pipe bare into a vice! :) )

I will show the maker of that exhaust these comments, im sure he will appreciate it very much.

As for you JDM 101, I want to see the exhausts you make!

Which part of my post you cant read? Maybe your the idiot here. You cant even spell "JESUS" correctly.

@TS & mods ... My post is just my opinion. I just dont see what's the big deal with the pipe install (specially on another make/brand car and i think that it should have posted on another section). That's a nice and clean exhaust but its very common here in our place. Maybe that is why im not interested. About the Mugen NSX RR, if you let me read 2 articles about cars (NSX & EK9), i will be more intersted in reading first the EK9 article than that of the NSX. But thats just me...

I dont make exhaust sir. I just said that modifying/fabricating exhaust here in our country is very common and cheap... I have a 2.5" inner diameter custom made stainless steel midpipe on my EK9, though.
