Describe your items for sale properly!

not wanting in on this as it's a private matter between buyer and seller.but here's my 2pence worth.

i've known mark for a few years now, bought a couple things off him and he's a genuine guy.

in the second picture the first thing i noticed was the passenger side bolster part was a complete different shape from the other.surely if it's my first time looking then a potential buyer would be more cautious ? ask for more pics, pics of everything.pictures speak louder than words especially in this instance.

as for the whole comment about 'not dealing with people from this and that area'.

don't be silly dude you can't just put people all in to one group just cause you had or heard of a bad transaction. you'll end up not dealing atall. I've had bad experiences and my mates have had bad experiences dealing with companies, everyone makes mistakes and yes people to try to pull fast ones but Nothing ever goes to plan. that's why paypal, refunds and a more serious note courts were invented !just have to deal with it !

I agree, I'm being a c*nt I'm sorry, I'm wound up about something else today and just venting.

Of course it is ridiculous to write off an entire area on the basis of a few bad transactions, and to be honest if I was dealing with one of the regular reputable members here (and I know there are a lot here from Glasgow) then I wouldn't think twice about dealing with them.

However, in the event I ended up looking at something on eBay say, from someone I have no background on, that talks in text speak and lives in Glasgow then I will 100% be walking away from it. Its a simple case of 'caveat emptor', nothing more. My experiences shape my wariness, as should everyones.

Sorry if I have offended anyone with my ranting, I am a dick and I aplogise.

The right side bolster bit is meant to be larger than the left, thats part of the design of the seat. Its the right hand side bolster thats actually broken not the left. As i've already got one of these seats I knew this was the case so didn't need to question it.

As for the whole tarnishing people with the same brush, this isn't something i've brought up in this thread and its not something i'd ever do!

If the seller were to do the right thing and offer a refund for the seat to include half the total postage cost then i'd be happy to agree to that and call it quits but so far this hasn't been the case and the general concensus seems to be that this is what should be being offered.

Who the hell are you? Get a grip, have you even met the guy or heard his side of the of the story? I wouldn't imagine Mark saying that about someone he'd never met before. IMO you sound like a D*ck :nice:

jeeze chill out this isn't a point scoring exercise and i expressed an opinion of how he came across from what he posted up. no i don't know him so i can't say if he is a d*ck or not i said SOUNDS LIKE!!! from the information that the op has given

what are you 5 years old?? knee jerk reactions to defend your mate do you no favours. a simple i don't think he'd have done this on purpose etc would have sufficed:nice:

im sorry to hear whats happened mate i myself have had bad experiences from buying stuff. it happens. however i have known mark for a few years now and couldnt meet a more sound guy. im sure if u were to meet him in person u would not see a 6ft boy looking t rip u off, more like the BFG lol i dont think ranting on thje forum was the way to go about things as it only brings in other parties and causes more tension and as mark has been on the forum for a long tie, far longr than yourself it is slightly embarassing for him when something like this gets put up and u label him as being a dxick, not yourself but other people who feel the need to join in on this.

as said sorry to hear what happened but posting on the forum idont think was the best way to go about it, an i feel sorry for mark in a way that a dull pictre has been painted of him, which im sure anybody who has met him will tell u what a sound guy he is

D2Tex has been around honda forums since before we could all drive aha ^^.

Jordan101: Mark had plenty of opportunity to sort this out prior to me posting this thread on the forum as you can see from the text messages sent.

His atitude towards the whole thing has stunk from the word go which pretty much forced me to post the information i have as I'd like to think it will stop it happening to anyone else in future.

If I lived closer then i'd have probably picked the seat up in person and none of this would ever have happened as i'd have seen the damage before paying. As a seller it was his responsibility to describe his goods for sale correctly and honestly which wasn't done in this case.
If the sale were done through ebay then i'd have filed a complaint through them and he would have been left negative feedback by me which is what i'm doing via this thread.

As for him being around a lot longer than me:

I'm a member of many forums but don't post that often as I tend to use the search function and browse.

better off just telling the truth when it omes to selling stuff online,, that way people might come back to you cos your honest,, but you try and rip people off and its just going to get you a bad name and you wont be able to sell ****,, jmo

^^:nice:

The one thing you can never buy is your reputation. Treat it well.
