Decat or High Flow Cat?

Hey,

So what should I go for when I get my 9. A decat or a high flow cat?

Which brands are known to be good?
 
Okay so after reading that it says the only difference in the high flow and decat is 1bhp.

Wow, got some thinking to do.

What size Magnaflow fits the EK9?
 
Used a 100cell on the last car and will be going for similar with the 9, as Zen says, saves a lot of hassle. Where did you shop Zen?
 
Does anyone know the size of the stock manifold?
 
In my country is cheaper to get a decat, so I prefer the decat :)
 
Well I know my system sounds brilliant in vtec with a high flow cat over standard oem cat.....kinda makes a nice "fizzing" sound before vtec too :confused:

This is like the one i bought Nemesis UK: "MAGNAFLOW - Street Racer Cat Cent 2.5"" Bore"

The number of cells determines how well the cat flows the exhaust gases. A 100cell flows slightly better than a 200cell at the expense of possibly failing the mot although where I bought mine I was told that they have had customers that passed the mot with 100 cell cats no problem.
 
bad for enviroment. Adding more smog into the air for 1bhp increase. A bit silly to me.
 
Gotta say I think I'd prefer the High flow Cat, just have to find one for the right price :D
 
I use a 150 cell per sq inc with a 2.5" collector I couldnt imagine how loud the spoon N1 would be with a decat
 
High flow cat or Decat, you cant hear the difference in terms of loudness. Raspy metallic is what you'll get with a decat though.
 
£85 for a sports cat is dirt cheap, so would you definatley see gains, i have a catback at the mo hoping to order the 5zigen mani in next week or so, would you say go ahead and oreder the sports cat
 
sorry just realised its a universal one that looks like the flanges need to be welded on is that correct (the ,agnaflow on on nemesis site)
