Hey i had a cat on an i just knocked the middle out of it. whould this have giv me n e gain in hp or should i get a proper de cat pipe?

if your NA i would suggest a proper decat, but im sure the difference is small.
 
the difference is noticeable so go for it,
and I found this mod gave the most HP gains for the money
 
hmmm some dodgy characters here..

I too will get a decat pipe, hopefully might be able to get a before and after run for cheap.

Decat = Clear Tube with 2 flanges.

In my country, they cut the original cat, like 1 cm from the flange, and they just weld in a piece of tube, cheap decat, I paid like 30 $ for mine lol
 
since theres a thread already I will post I here.

I am going to get a decat pipe made for my car, pure 2.5" straight pipe. with good stainless steel...not that it really matters since its just a short pipe but what matter is the price.


If I could get some bulk buying might be able to get it cheap say for like 45-50 pounds.

I am going get a few and put it up on here, So I ask would any of you guys be interested? if I get a good respond I could be brave and take the risk to get more at once, and might be even lower on price.

Please let me know by the end of the week who is seriously interested, as I dont want to take the risk of getting too much.

Definetly makes a diffrence. car more responsive, you'll feel a lil gain in power no restrictions on exhaust fumes exiting. gives exhaust note a sweet rasp too:woot:

Just a little review, Got decat fitted earlier.

Definitely noticeable difference in responsiveness from idle. and rev quicker

Power wise, feels like I have more torque, but still need to give it a proper go yet.

Sound is more "splattering" and "rasp" on acceleration, quite addictive i must say.

Where did you buy your decat? Did it fit easy?
 
got a J's racing one, from vtecdirect.com.

It was difficult to get the bolts off!since its all rusted thats about it.

I had use of a ramp and airgun.

apart from that its just straight on and off.
 
just ordered my decat this week! can't wait till it arrives and hopefully it is here before the rolling road day on sat! :S
 
I got one off ebay and was well pleased with the results!
