just finished doing this so thought id do a little tutorial for anyone else wondering how...
the rear bolt directly in where the old civic ones come from, anyone can manage that one. 6 10mm bolts. you can then use the original backing off you old seats to go over the teg item

if you fit the bottom teg bit you can see from the pic below it leaves a reasonable gap

so its a case of taking the fabric off the teg one and fitting it to the base from the civic seats.

so obviously take it out, look underneath and you'll see lots of metal hoops all the way round. you will need to cut these off on both benches to get the material free, note there are also some running down the contours of the seat

comparison of the two (teg bottow civic top)

so then you need to start stretching the itegra material over and the civic bench is wider/taller. attach through thr existing holes with cable ties to keep secure

it takes some fiddling to get perfect

done my rear seats today with help of a friend :)

just a note that when you fit the dc2 cloth to the ek foam you wont
get all the previous "hog ring"(or cable ties) back in around the centre
of the seat etc(this info wasnt too clear on diy pics)
just do ones around the edge and we managed few near rear edge also, all in all the dc2 material is to small to use all orginal fastening points!
reason i dug this diy out as we wondered how the cloth stretched over but
its fitted with some material "hovering" :)

still a cool mod to do :secret:

Thanks for sharing this! positive rep for you, sticky thread!

i want to say for the record i have a USDM 96 EJ6 and the teg rears do not go on :( There is a bracket that comes up in the middle that the seat backs bolt up to vs. the teg seats bolt up to eachother in the middle, how is your setup?

Hi bud,the reason yours aint fit is because you have jdm rear dc2 seats! They omit the swivel brackets in the construction of them! You need ukdm dc2 rears which use same fitting as uk/us civics! I got jdm rears first and had to sell them on for that reason.would be quite a job stripping jdm material on all parts and refitting to uk/us rears.all in all you need ukdm rears bud to make it easy! Hope that helps.

Thanks eternal, at least after all these years i finally learned why lol.

just discover how difficult this was today, seat cushion was hardest , but because I reused all the original hog ties.

back rest is not direct fit, I had to swap the ITR foam and fabric over to the civic backrest frame, learn this from a from a thread on honda-tech took me 30 minutes came out perfect. I reused all my original hog ties for natiral appearance

much appreciated writeups. thank god for forums.

i know this have been mentioned in another tread but i cant seem to find a definite answer.

i have an ej6 hatch with an armrest, will my dc2r recaros fit? i know the rear inner bolt does not line up, that easy, just punch a hole and put on a nut/bolt/washer, good to go,

but how about the armrest vs the width of the dc2r seats?

thanks in advance guys..

i put mine today.they rub a bit.but i guess they are tolerable.thanks anyways!

cheers!

I have the 4 door integra leathers in my ek coupe. I had to do a little custom work. Theres about 2 inch spaces on each side of the backrest, but the bottom fits flush. Theres a big clunk of metal under the seat i had to shave off, and i put my civic brackets on the leathers

Blinks: I shaved that bracket down to nothing so the integra seats fit...ill post up a pic of it later..if you get seats dont let that stop you from putting them in...i have usdm dc2 seats in my ekcoupe

:nice: done lee..
