Well since Anglesey a few weeks back i have been a tad busy...

New huge enduro alloy rad
18 row oil cooler
sump baffles in
Carbon gurney
carbon spoon lip running brake ducts painted CW
APR Carbon mirros
wheels rebalanced and chassis GEO'd up after Anglesey.

All going on or already fitted. This weekend was simply insane! Two track days in one weekend!! Pictures will follow with full write up but for now...

DC2 will now be going in the bodyshop for a bit of a tidy before a few more surprises are added in time for August 10 at Oulton again :).

Such an awesome car, and after the Passenger ride in it, awesome driver a aswell Very Smooth & Controlled! Look forward to our next outing! :nice:

Tegiwa imports matey. They are good, light and strong for a stupidly good price.

Cheers Neil, right back at ya! It was the best track day i have ever been on. Everything was perfect even if i did have to lay the teg up after my pads melted. Your EK9 is just a misile and it was so fun chasing each other round. Cannot beleive how matched they where. Just spending the day ripping past traffic :).

love the interior of the car hella clean for real

Cheers Guys :)...

Blyton
After a days worth of prep getting the car sorted i was finished late on Saterday night. Got about 4 hours sleep before having to drive the 3 hours to Blyton. Waking up at 4AM was a bastard on a Sunday haha. It rained all the way there and it looked like it was only getting worse. Pulled up at the track and for some unknow reason Blyton park seemed to be right under a patch of blue sky all day!!! I did 7 or 8 sessions and it was only wet for one of them!!! I found this track very challenging to be honest. considering how flat and short it looks it really is a bastard haha!! So heavy on brakes and the corners seem to have very little flow to them. Did enjoy running my spoon N1 and making some propper noise due to the relaxed noise testing. Put in some pretty standard laps to be honest. I was just nackered haha!! Got home after another 3 hours in possibly the most rediculous rain ever. Then spent the next 2 hours prepping the car for Donington the very next day.

Donington
So after bugger all sleep i am up again at stupid o'clock driving again in crappy rain. Feeling like an absolute zombie tbh. Get to Dony and it is still raining so i kind of let myself know i am tackling Craners for the first time in the wet :( lol. Meet up with Neil and get over for the safety breifing. Made me laugh when he was talking about strict noise regs but had to pause halfway through as a pissing jet plane took off over head. Sighting laps where done in the wet and my god Craners is just magic. Pulled back in the pits and went to grab some breakfast. By the time we where heading out for our first laps the sun had come out and the track was dry!!!! RESULT!! I couldn't beleive how close the EK and DC2 where!! That EK9 bloody rips through the revs like a bike!! Spent the day jumping in the 9 for passengers and vis versa then going out for another blast in both cars. Was just so chilled out and such an amazing way to spend a track day. Will be getting more booked with Neil for sure as all we where there to do is have maximum FUN!! We gave each other tips and tricks to help each other learn the track faster and it was just all in all a propper amazing day. Redgate was the only corner we both had trouble with to be honest. As i am still used to battering it down mountain passes i rely on a good early turn in and i would rather be slightly slower on the exit than apex too late and run wide off a cliff haha. Transfering this to the track has obviously been hard for me and i am learning to apex much later to combat this as i have the margin for some error :D. Unfortunatley Blyton had killed my pads the day before so i had to call it a day earlier than i had hoped :(. Still got a good 4-5 sessions though and tbh it was for the best as i was soo damn sleepy haha!!! Ohh PS rinsing it at 115-120MPH down Craners and seeing a big red NEXT bag on your Apex was interesting.....

Cheers man, it means so much :).

Oulton Park with Neil yesterday was a mixed bag of emotions!!! Arrived after a solid weekend of prep and the weather looked good. As soon as we arrived this all changed. The conditions were terrible. I doubt many would drive on the road in conditions as bad but there we were pinning it sliding all over the place!! Going round shell was amazing as the back end would constantly step out! Again for the slower chicanes it was amazing trying to control the car 4 wheel sliding it all over the shop!! Lowered tyre pressures and set the suspension softer, even more so on the rear to keep things in check as for the high speed corners it was a tad arse twitching at close to 100 in these conditions if the rear was to break free round island bend. Don't forget we are both running semi slick 888s too and Oulton suffers massivley from pitting and standing water all over the track.

Track conditions improved and i went out with Neil. Was amaxin and Neil was passing everything like they where stood still. The way both myself and Neil have modified our cars gives us ultimate feedback which in turn gives us so much confidence which was apparent as we passed the field.

I was at the front of the queue as we burst out after yet another red flag. I was on it, keeping neat and tidy really enjoying the new found grip levels. Just out of Nickerbrook I suddenly see my oil light come on!! Then look behind and shed loads of smoke. Instantly I turn the engine off and ditch it into the grass. I knew what it was straight away… A burst hose of some sort on the oil cooler I fitted at the weekend. The car looked like it had been sick haha!! Was a painful wait to be towed back and plumb the oil cooler back in and replace the 3.5 litres of oil I had lost!! Moment of truth and I turned the engine over. Absolutely fine. Luckily as I had been so vigilant I was able to save the engine from any damage. Failure was down to a jubilee clip breaking allowing the hose to fly off. Ahh well all’s well and I should consider myself lucky I guess.

Again, can't wait for more battles with a certain EK9 :).

Pics to come of the oil cooler incident :D.

PS if a mod wants to move this into the ITR section that's cool :nice:

ek4 was lovely, sorry to see retards ruining our pride and joys.

Cheers guys :D.

:) Yeah was an intense day! The track conditions changed so much from corner to corner it took so much effort. Later found out that it was because oil had been dropped on 4 sections/corners of the track!!!

Dony track day was with Focused Events. Full day open pit for £125!!!!!!!

Anyways thought i would update with pics of new parts :).

Sunstrip
huge alloy rad
APR mirrors
carbon Spoon lip painted CW with brake ducts running off them :)
gurney flap
respray boot, spoiler, lip, rear arches, rear quarters, front wing etc etc.
Oil cooler

Just need Rdecals, the PCI skirts, front splitter, tow hook, benen fuel rail, carbon rear diffuser, RTA bushes and a few other bits to complete the aero/looks. Would love a Voltex rear wing but at 1,500 quid it may be a while as i would rather get more power or a close ratio box on the go.

Over winter i will focus on steam cleaning the chassis and getting all arms painted and pollybushed. All done in my new workshop :D.

Seats have been sold so i will now be running a motordrive seat. Much skinnier meaning i can run my door bars and it is FIA approved which will come in handy in years to come ;D.

Nice update! The champ white colour suits the lip much better! And that bay would make you cream yourself!!! Unreal! Those mirrors are so track JDM! Great work man! :))

Just had a flick through this thread. Cool vehicle. Where did you get the gunray/mirror baseplates if you don't mind my asking?

JDM Performance mate :). They where the cheapest i could find but still insane money for wing mirrors lol. Cheers again guys for the kind words. Teg will be coming off the road soon which makes me very sad :(. Ran out of R888s and need to save money for the house :(.
