my spec is as follows
96 spec jdm b18c
98 spec manifold
5zigen border 304 exhaust system (race use only) bought the wrong one!!
standard honda airbox setup with cold airfeed
jdm de-cat
no offence to all you b16b fans out there but mine really does piss all over my friends 9 in a drag race.
about a week ago coming down the motorway i managed to hit my rev limit in 5th gear the speedo was on 162-3 ish not sure what it would be on gps but still dam fast :)
 
Does any1 know if i was to put a stroker kit in2 my nine, would it jst basicaly be the
Exact same as a b18c?
Do u think the stroker kit would be worth it?
Does any1 have 1 or any1 had any experience with 1
 
after reading this, made me even more excited about strocking!
 
B18C is much more powerful than paper figures suggest. I wish it came standard on the 9.

My B18 Ek9 just pull's about 3 car length's on my mate's STOCK EVO X FQ300 up to about 100mph
Im not trying to say that my 9 smoke's them at all but he cant Even get close to getting past me!:drive:

Do you have any media like video etc of B18 EK9's smoking Evo's and the like? Does not have to be your car, just video's in general?

If all this is true, it might not hurt so much moving down from 275hp :D

Believe me it wont hurt at all! lol
Especially when you get to some winding road's, no offence to your car but when it come's to cornering the EK9 is in a diffrent League :drive:
 
B16B = De-stroked B18C

Jimbob, got a question for you, and others for that matter....

Is the above true? I understand that if you stroke a B16B, you will end up with effectively a B18C, but aren't the blocks a bit different? I thought the B18C was slightly taller than the B16B, or is just something that I've heard?

I know the B16B is taller than the B16A....or at least from what I understand.

Anyways, main question, if the B18C block is taller, does this not have any effect on stroking the B16B to B18C, is it just a manufacturing/minor aesthetic thing?

(sorry if what I'm saying it difficult to understand....not really sure what if what I'm asking is even important, I'm just curious :) )

Oh I know the EK9 is a lot better in the corners from factory than a Starlet. But..a lot of people believe with handeling mods, you can MAKE the Starlet handle just aswell.

Not here to start a Starlet vs EK9 thread, so I'll just leave this link if your interested.
