Yeah man, lowered finish them off perfectly,

But i try my best to have the best possible compromise between looks/practicality and function.

If i dropped it i would have to change my under axle exhaust to over axle as it sits mental low at the moment and have to worry about bumps now let alone even lower. But, i really like my exhaust. That would mean buying coilovers and a new centre section made. Thats alot of money for quite little satisfaction as i would only be buying for aesthetic reasons as the OE set up on decent tires performance wise is really really good for all situations and i enjoy it.

For the moment im going to leave it like it is as, as a whole im happy with it. I may decide to change in the future though.

But i do agree, dropped 9's look the bollox :nice:

should've bought the spoons off me dan get near oem height with 100% greater hanlding:p

What do they offer over the oem? Stiffer spring rate I would imagine offering flatter cornering? Because unless you really start playing with camber/toe stiffness to suit each track I feel the improvments are going to be minimal and driver will well out weigh the slightly stiffer spring rate.

Taking the car around nurburg which had all sorts of road/camber condition I couldn't really fault it. Cornered very flat, very neutral and responsive. I feel more track days are needed before putting money into replacing the suspension.

The Spoon combo is a fair improvement over stock, when mine was oem, I had a few laps in Tmus car at Brands, even as a passenger you could feel the difference, cornered flatter and was more controlled/stable over the rougher parts.

However the combo is suited for the odd trackday here and there for people who prefer oem feel on the road. If you start doing more events, and want to push on you will soon reach the limits of it.

How did you get on with the Starlet project mate - that looked mental

The huge power is put on hold due to a few reasons but hopefully by around Christmas time it will have a freshly overhauled engine(standard spec) as i can get it done cheap and possibly uprated turbo but running same sort of power as before(320BHP) at lowish boost.

Have fun in it like that again for a while until ive payed my loan off next year and then look into the big spec engine build again.

Use that for drag racing and my 9 for circuit racing.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!

I dunno how you got in there so quick Matt, but that is one lightning response!! I think this thing should be settled properly.. Lets have a hair off!!

Been reading through over the past week or so - nice project. Just out of interest, what does the 9 weigh approx when stripped like you have?

Looked well out on track Saturday, got a few pictures but my PC at homes broken so I can't edit them! When I do I'll be sure to post them up though.

Thanks Jord,

I would estimate my car approx weighs 980KG assuming it weighed 1050KG from factory. Ive removed alot of stuff and weighed some of it so i would say thats about right. It might even weigh less.

Nice 1/4 time :) nicer car...

Thanks :nice:

I need to get back to the strip now in its current set up, im very confidant i could improve on that time.

Thanks buddy :) I look forward to seeing them.

A couple of pictures i took yesterday after i put gabs back on the front and gave it a wash. Its recently had the whole side of car resprayed and the whole front end, bonnet/grill/bumper. New genuine type R sticker, new genuine Honda badge too. And removed spoon stickers.
