Crashed My EK9

Just thought I would share a few photo's from my accident.

I cant tell you how devestated I am at loosing my EK9. It was an absolute minter (from Dunx) and I have only had it about 4 months :(

In brief I was on the way home from a walk with one of my mates on tuesday following a 1.2 corsa we both went around this corner (I was about 4 lengths behind him) and then saw him swerve and then I saw a car coming towards me. Basically a car was over the white lines on our side of the road as we both went around the corner. I swerved to avoid a collision and lost control, hitting a small bank with my back wheel spinning me off the road through a gate and rolling the car about 3 times in a field.

The lad who was driving the corsa managed to avoid the same thing (possibly because he had gone around most of the corner). He drove back to check me and my friend were ok but the car who caused us both off the road drove on :mad:!

My friend has hurt his neck and other than that no injuries, I understand we are both very lucky but at the same time im just upset and pissed off beyond words can describe!

I can only hope some way that I find out who that person was driving the other car!

O I fogot to mention the road conditions were good, the weather had been really sunny all day and the car was standard with Toyo R888 tyres.

Links arn't working mate.... Really feel for you... Very upsetting but glad you were both ok. Metal can be replaced.

Dude, really sorry to hear that news, if i was in your shoes i would be upset as that is your PRIDE, happy to hear there were no severe injuries, these sort of things happen so dont worry... ;)

What you gonna do now?

The links should work mate, Kaks did they work for you?

I plan to get another CW EK9 as soon a possible, but I will have to wait to see how much the insurance are going to give me and if I can get insured again! I was lucky been 20 to get insurance, but I had no crashes or claims in the last 3 years and 3 years NCB which are now GONE, unless I can find out who the other driver was :angry:

my brother destroyed my ek9!! i knw how you feel!!

no joke re-shell it dont jst let it sit in the drive, it makes you feel so s**t looking at it!!

I know and I cant stress how mint the whole car really was! Cleanest Recaro's i've seen in a '9 and the rest of the car was in excellent condition with only 60K on the clock!

I think the extent of the injuies was limited by the Recaro's, they did there job well!

I know its not much but i'm sure myself and everyone will vouch for me here if you need anything we're all here for you mate.
 
Hard luck mate just count youself lucky that you and your friend weren't badly injured. Will you get another 9?

Deserves more than a 'pimp slap'! I wont say what I will do to him/her and their car if I find out who it was.

Going to go to the village near the accident and see if there are any CCTV camera's that I can look at.

As for the car, im waiting to hear back from the insurance! I doubt I will be re-shelling it due to the condition of many of the parts now. I do have a few little things such as mats, gearknob, badges that I will put in the for sale section soon!

Again guys I cant stress how gutted I am! I had been waiting for an Ek9 for years!

well yea that person deserves a lot worse than that.
yeah good idea were there no witness' :S
i hope insurance does a good job (for once)
 
man just be happy your alive my mate just flipped his car and the two people in his car died. his cousin and his best friend.

was no 30mph jobbie i doubt can happen so easily do!!
 
seeing something like this makes driving really hit home, how serious it is and how something so simple can really mess some ones life up:angry:
such an inconsiderate ******* surly he/she looked in there mirror when they seen you swerved:angry2:
