Well my first time on quarter mile today managed a 15.2 which i think was alright for first go at it and mods i have!

I am running an AEM UEGO Wideband AFR Mate, It was running very lean on full throttle - Im not sure if it was the actualy AEM playing up or there is a problem with the map. Only time will tell, I think it defo has the potential for a high 12, I just couldnt get the power down atol - I had to launch the car from idle just to get grip, let the clutch out very slowly to get it rolling then apply the power smooth in 1st gear. My fastest 60ft was a 2.25.

Cheers, Andy

How lean was it running?
Cant see why it would run lean as of today, and not at any other point, or has it?
Was it that useless bugger from Ellon that mapped it?

Your lucky you can grip, i cant until at least 3rd, in the dry.

Im not too sure, unless the gauge was playing up ?? I will find out in 2 weeks when it goes for another MAP :D Yeah it was Simon that mapped it from Ellon, was the only place near to get it running. Im going down south for the next one tho. The reason I get grip is because i dont go flat out with the throttle. Ohh and remeber my car is N/A !!!

Haha yep only time will tell John Huh !!!! :p - Think its about time I pulled that little trick out my sleeve - Operation weight reduction !!!

Cheers, Andy

haha . oh yes . something like that andy :secret:

2 weeks shall almost tell :nice:

Haribo was Simon the only guy in scotland you could find to map your ECU ?? Sorry i have forgotten what your running, but have you not read the reports on him? have you not seen his AFR graph's ?? Honestly makes the cairngorms look like Holland in the ones i've seen. Im not trying to bully your decision here though what im trying to say is there not a garage near by you could take it too and ask them to datalog your map ? Can Checkpoint in Arbroath not do something like that ? I've been hearing some brilliant reports about his work from a few guys in Aberdeen!

Just an idea because i wouldnt like to spend 10k on an engine and box twice, remember if you hear detonation its already blowing holes in your pistons !

*EDIT you posted while i was typing i'll go look *

Yeah callum at checkpoint knows his stuff - works closely with the " Dentist ". Im not sure if they have done much work on vtec's tho. No sound of detonation yet, as I mention it will be getting re-mapped down south in 2 weeks. I am wanting to get into the 12s B Series N/A. Im sure come april time I wont be far away from them.

Cheers - Andy
