hey guys, before i go any further i'd like to point out that suspension is not my strong point so some of this may make me sound like a total noob lol.
So when my student loan comes thru in a couple of weeks i'm gonna change my standard suspension to a set of coilovers.
Dont wana spend loads on the coilovers themselfs (approx £800 max) so was reading thru all the threads and come accross 2 common ones.
The buddy club n+ spec and the tein superstreet both of which fit into my budget.
As far as i can see the tein set up would be much cheaper since the pillow upper mounts seem useless on a double wish bone setup so would come in at just under £600, and they can be serviced in the uk if need be however the buddyclub ones are more like the tein flex type (no preload on the spring) so are a higher end unit compared to the superstreet but are manufactured in china.... Correct me if i'm wrong
anyway, i'm very confused what ones to pick or if there are any other brands ppl would recommend?? looked into skunk 2 and quantum but they were a bit pricey.
The set up would just be for the street and occasional fast b road blasts.
would it be worth changing components like lower control arms, camber kits, uprated anti roll bar or new aftermarket wish bones etc at the same time or will the coilovers do me fine??
The suspension is standard at the moment but sits a little high for my taste after i stripped the rear of the car back to the metal and fitted my next x brace.
sorry for the uber long post but any comments would help
cheers.
