Hey guys

as some of you already know, i own EG9 with b20 in it. I am going to put roll cage, lexan windows, and carbon doors this year.

After all that, i am going to weight car on all 4 wheels, and then i would like to buy NEW TRACK only coiloveres. Since here are some very expirienced useres, i would like to hear your suggestions on which coiloveres to buy.

I am ready to spend around 3000 and i don`t won`t 3way adjustable coiloveres, as there is noone in my country who can set them correctly.

So i am after 2way adjustable coilovers. Also it is good if company from whom i will be buying coils, has branch in europe, and that they offer rebuild kit or replacement parts in case dampers start to leak ( i hope not :D ) or if anything get broken ( hope not ).

Hope you can help me in any way.

Cheers

I have some Function ZEAL coil-overs for sale. Primarily track suspension so would be ok for your needs.
PM me if you are interested.
Thanks Duncan

You could take a look at this company:

Auto veren, schokdempers en schroefsets door Intrax Racing Suspension

They make/adjust everything in house. They are the supplier for suspension for our Suzuki Swift cup and they make real quality stuff. They rebuild dampers so chances are high they can supply you with spare parts.

I have always said that in principal my DC2 suspension is the right balance. Since I've seen Kozy's thread about suspension I have decided that I won't ever buy the likes of BC Racing etc. But íf I ever do decide to replace my suspension for something after market and I want to buy it new I'll be going to these guys.

At the top of the website you can choose English ;)

If you have the cash then Nitron's, they will build them to your spec and are one of the best out there

Personally i run Tein circuit master N1 short stroke race dampers, that coupled with 22k front and 22k rear swift race springs is extremely good on track

Believe they are about £2500 new without springs, i bought them second hand then had them fully rebuilt and serviced at Tein uk

Most important question though........ What suspension do you currently run and for what reason is this inadequate? No point in running super expensive suspension just for saying "look i have these coilovers, they should be good as they are expensive", have you reached the limits of your current setup and as a result feel you need this extra adjustability?

i only upgraded from Buddyclub N+ dampers as i had tracked the car alot on them and felt that i needed something with higher spring rates and preferably with separate compression damping to fine tune in to my driving style

OP, considering you are looking at dropping a considerable amount on coilovers, that thread may be worth a read. You may well already know some/most/all of it, but when spending a large amount it's good to be clued up on what you are buying, so you can be sure you are going to get exactly what you want.

Part 1 is a bit of background on how handling 'works', part 2 is the bit on buying suspension, I hope it is of help to you!

Very good point!

At the moment i have HKS Hypermax II which are 2way adjustable. I bought second hand amd I am very satisfied with them, and normally i woul`t change them, but since one of front damper is leaking, and i gave it to one "specialist" here in out country to rebuild them, but after 1day of driving, it starting to leak again ( twice! ). But that it is not all, he also broke something inside, so it is not damping adjustable anymore. He is keep telling me that damping doesn`t work at all, and he also dare to say that those are cheap chinese coiloveres for 500€:shocked:

That is why i want to buy new one and also, i want to buy the ones that can provide me rebuilding or buying spare parts, as HKS HyperMax II does not.

I am well aware that how much i spent on coils doesn`t mean i will get good ones, that is why i asked for some advices here.

I will take a look at those _JT recommend when i come home. I will also read what Kozy suggest, although i might know a few/lot/all thing, i am just the kiind of guy i like to know even more, especially when i am spending that much money.

So thanks for all your input, ofcourse, you can keep on suggesting things/brands and give me some more advices.

Cheers
