ok guys i have searched for this this but with no luck.

have you guys got any tips on cleaning the head lights? mine have got that slight yellow tinge going on and wanted to know if theres any tips before spending hours not getting anywhere :D

Try some nail varnish remover! I had the same yellowish haze on my lights when my car came in from Japan and the nail varnish remover did a good job..

i think 3M sells a kit for polishing plastic, it takes a few hours to do but it looks really nice in the end.

what you guys mentioned are temporary solution. Plastic has a layer of protective coat to proctect the plastic headlight and this coat get thinner and eventually gone over years which you will end up a yellowing headlight, espeically top portion for EK with direct sunlight on it.

You can sand it off and buff it back, but it won't last since the protective coat is gone.

There are several headlights restoration kit out there and basically what they did has atleast 3 steps of chemical application, first remove the last layer, then buff it back, and last apply the proctective coat on it to seal the headlights.

Needless to say, the easiest way is get a pair of new headlights.

What Hikaru says is true, but Meguires have a clear plastic polish that will safely remove all dirt and stains. It's called PlasticX or something like that. I've got some and very expensive, but cheaper than getting new light :nice:

I just use rubbing compound n scrub the sh*t out of them!!!!

that's what i do 2!! get a compound called farecla, it excellent for the headlights & the car!!! then the headlights should look like new for anything from 2-4 months. :D

I T-cutted and polished mine. They were extremely "misty" before.

T Cut does the job. its not exactly good for them tho iv heard

If you have access to proper clear plastic cutting compound, I suggest you use something like KITTEN polishing wax, which has minimum cut. This is much less harsh than T-CUT.

Brand new ek9 light from Honda is only about £70 i think. Buy a new pair and stick your old ones on fleebay.
