Can anyone tell me what exactly this is?

It's located in the main fuse box under the bonnet and appears to be a sort of main switch, as I lose all electrics when both sides of it aren't touching and producing a current. It's the white element which is split in the middle(centre of picture) and is connected to a copper plate.

I'm sure it's just a cheap little electrical element I can pick up easily, just want to know exactly what it is.

Cheers in advance :nice:

Its the main fuse, it should be sealed in a housing the copper fuse element. Can get one from main dealer or scrap yard

It's definitely a popped FUSE. Looks like you either short circuited [touch positive and negative] a wire somewhere or it's worn out [which rarely ever happens ever]. Contact your nearest auto parts store and they may give u more info on where to get it or u might even get it there.

hi there im a fully qualified auto electrician so hopefully able to help you. its just a mega fuse you should be able to pick one up quite easily. if u replace it and it blows again straight away you have another problem on your hands probably a short circuit.
