Guys,
Off to the ring in a few weeks, our EK9 Cup car has the following brake setup.
EK4 VTi Hub / Calipers (F&R)
EBC Turbo Grooved Dimpled Discs (F&R)
Yellow Stuff Rear Pads
Carbone Lorraine RC6 Front Pads
1" Master Cylinder
Tilton Bias Adjuster.
Discs are 3 track days old, very little wear.
Rear Pads are the same
Front Pads a new.
At Donington we were going through a set of yellowstuff front pads each track day. Bias was set 3 clicks forward.
I know the Ring is less harsh on brakes than a small circuit, but with 2 drivers and 2 day open pit lane, the car will get used alot.
Based on experience should I take a new set of discs and pads with me? At Donington we were doing 25 minute stints, Ring will a max of 2 laps at a time I'd expect.
Also doing Ring GP but 15 min sessions with 15 min cool down in between. (Just 1hr worth of driving)
Cheers
Jay
