Why don't you sell your ek4, then it's less money you'd have to borrow, So easy for people to say yes.

well i was thinkning that but it'll take time to sell it... so thought i;d ask about to borrow the money then sell the 4 once the 9 is bought...

Ek4 needs stem seals though so isn't gonna be easy to sell...

working on it though..

I was waiting on you to come in here chris, really hope you can pull this one off! the car seems mint and the fact that all the bushes ball-joints etc have been changed is amazing :nice:
also always ran of good fuel :win:

thought about taking a loan out for this but will need to get rid of my car also :\ someone will buy it
 
I'm guessing that lots of folk are in similar (not the same) situation as me perhaps. We are rennovating our house and therefore all our money should be going on that, at £3800 I'd get a bank loan tomorrow to buy this ek9 as its easliy worth it and would be loads cheaper than upgrading my scabby old ek4 - trouble is I'm looking at possible redundancy next March and there is no way I'd risk borrowing anything for the forseeable future.

The country is in a mess (likely to get worse) and unfortunately lots of normal folk are holding onto their pennies :(

Yes for £3800 it doesn't get any better. Last year this car would have been worth £1000-1500 more easy. I'm kicking myself for pricing it so low already but 2 cars don't make any sense.

Hi i tried to get some online quotes but thay kept saying your car is a vti!

Can you explain why this should be?
 
i had the same problem with my ek9, online it kept coming up as a vti, all i can put it down to is the importer sva 'd it as a vti with been same shape, 1.6 etc, could be easier to do? all tho i arnt 100% sure. all i did was rang the insurance company and insured it as a 9 . could of maybe blaged it and insured it as vti but nowing my luck it would of come bk to haunt me
 
Not sure really, maybe an SVA messup. My old EG6 SiR came up as a 1.5 ls VTEC saloon lol.
