Best Size T/B?

Ok i see your point of view, i was only giving my personal experience. I'll leave it there, no hard feelings mate.

To be honest mate I wouldn't really know, when It comes to turbo setups Im still learning. So couldn't say Better or worse. Since im not sure Im not going to even try and give you advice, as it seems a lot of people seem to love doing on the net.

Not a big fan of giving unsure gueswork advice.

That is a fair enough answer. Ill speak to my mechanic about what he reckons. Never actually considered whether ill be using too big a t/b.

What would be interesting to know as it relates to TB size, what is the speed or velocity of the air going through the TB at stock WOT engine running. Does anyone know?

What size is your cold side boost pipe? Throttle body won't need to be any bigger than ID of your boost pipe;)

Erm i think its 65mm not sure.
I did measure it up to my skunk2 one and the pipe is smaller.
My mechanic said i can just use a reducer...

Skunk2 throttle body? Yes you can use a reducer to join with boost pipe.

Yee i got Skunk2 inlet and tb (think its 68 or 70mm) for my setup :).
Thanks for the info :nice:

Sorry if I rant about it, but These Big ass TB threads do my nut in. I tend to jump on them as soon as I can before more false info on how mega powerfull they make your car get posted. When In reality they are a waste of money.

The facts are there to see plain as day. If Cosworth/Mugen found that a 64-65mm TB was optimum for a 270hp N/A 2L and Even Toda supply 66mm ones for the likes of 300hp FD2 race cars, then on what planet would a 190-250hp b16/b18/b20 gain power or run more efficiently with a 68-70mm TB.

Really guys don't waist your money.

Cheers Topher.

This guy speeks the truth.
