Hi mates, which of the (JDM ITR) P73 Ecu's is the best for the CTR and why?

There's P73-003, P73-013 and P73-023.

Thanks a lot :)

neither of them :nono: there designed to run a B18C not a B16B

Other than that, what DC2 ECU shout suit best for EK9?

No dc2 ecu is good for a ek9!?! the "best" ecu for any car would be one thats been mapped/tuned specifically for the car and its modifications...

I'm still in doubt, one of the fastest ek4's in town uses a 3-angle-valve-job in the head, jun flywheel and P73-003 ecu, my friend the ek4 owner states that the ecu made a big difference... and now there's one on sale!.

Of course a strictly mapped/tuned ecu for the car would be the best choice but there's one from DC2 for sale.

Every engine is different

I've been in some very slow modified and standard ek4 but I've also been in some very quick standard ek4

If that makes sense

What cam set is your friend running?

x2 i agree fully with this guy its tha truth

I really doubt that. The fuelling requirements of a 1.8 ltr are substantially more than a 1.6 ltr so if you run a P73 Ecu which is programmed for 1.8 on your b16 all it's going to do is overfuel badly.

so is a b18 ecu bad for a b16b ek9 as my car came with a teg ecu in it?? the car seems to run grand. i've also heard of a few boys changing the ek9 ecu for a teg one so i never really thought it would do any harm.:nerv: :nerv:

Probably because your mate has a B18 block therefore it would require the
P73 ecu from an ITR.

Not necessarily causing harm but probably over-fuelling your engine. I'd switch back to a PCT ecu which is right ecu for your b16b or get a custom mapped ecu for your car which would be best choice
