I find this hilarious,
I have been banned fro honda-tech for being a troll.

what the hell is a troll supossed to be anyway...
i even had a picure thread up and made nearly 200 posts on their site then i get banned for being a troll, but the funny thing is a moderator sent me a warning for putting up a thread that was basically a setup for a b18C that i knew how much power it had made on a dyno and i asked what people thought the power would be, i stated i knew what it was but thought it would be a good idea to see how close people could guess.....

the thing is i replied back to him asking how in anyway this was a bad idea, as i wasn't asking the old how much power can i get from this question i was seeing if people could work it out....
this moderator has now banned indefinately. ....

i have never ever had any troulbe with EK9.ORG and have never had trouble from anyone from ek9.org.

those gus over at honda-tech are very pumped up and ready to jump on you for the slightest thing. I don't know whether its because they are mostly american and they have a different way of life, i dunno but its a very strange way of banning someone. telling them they are a troll....when all i did was put up a thread that a moderator did not agree with.


basically stick with EK9.org guys it feels more homely.... haha
 
Only registered on Honda Tech a few months ago.

Seems like a good forum, but think they are very strict :O

i was only with them for about 3 months. its good its just the people on there are so full of themselves...its mainly the moderators as well,
where as on this forum i have no problems what so ever.

fancy calling me a troll though haha.
i was thinking maybe i could use another e-mail account but they've probably thought of that huh?
 
I don't post there very often, but I read the Road Racing and Autocross forum almost daily as it has a lot of good information, and a lot of knowledgeable users on it. Often I will see people laughed out of there (rightly so IMO) for asking lame questions on 'which m4d tite coilovers to ride low for teh bitchez y0' etc, but this is good because it keeps the focus on performance modification.

It does very much seem that they take a bit of an elitist view there though, I got shot down when asking a question on the damper valving of Koni dampers with relation to some spring rates I was thinking about using, even when providing some calculations I had done on the matter, backed up with literature from reputable sources. Seems a lot of the time like they are just wary of newbies.

I would agree though that the 'How much power is my setup going to make' type threeads are a bit gay, they probably just assumed yours was another one and decided to throw the book at you.
 
I've been a member of Honda-Tech since 2002. There was a time when that site, although harsh, would do anything to help you. If you were stupid...you'd get flamed for days BUT there was always someone to help you after you put out the "fire". Lately since HT has had new owners it's all gone to ****. The combined knowledge that is still currently on the forums is outstanding but the Mods are immature and quick to act.

Depends on if the Mod was smart enough to IP ban you....if he didn't you can use an alternate email account.
 
HT? I heard they usually hit problems spot on if you post them, but that sounds bang out of order banning you. TBH ek9.org is all I need maybe abit of civic life if you want to show off. It's okey man the ek9.org community is very light hearted, any pretty knowlageable.
