B20 vs h22a

I'm guessing you drive an Eg6...

£3000 would get you a nice turbocharged B16A setup seeing as you allready have the engine it'll be alot cheaper... and leave you money for decent management and a refresh of certain engine parts....

Just throwing it out there.... at least you know the state of your motor :nice:

Corrected :D

H2b would be good but i dont really want to fork out £1500 just for the conversion kit.
Lucky that your brother done your mounts as im having to get mine from HASport and the shafts from the driveshaftstore.
Well got bad news now was going to pay for the engine earlier and now the bloke was going o well i think its worth such and such now, and wanted more. So it looks like a h22a import now lol.
Supercharge b16 thats a good idea but dont think i could save up for that long as im playing on buying bits every other week u know.

Turbo'ing was an idea but that means stripping and rebuilding it, with low comp pistons??

My b16 as a N/A is running proper **** its done 140,000+ miles on it.
Whats a 3071r bud?

more power more ware, might be low cost now...lol

Lol fair enough, i did mean supercharging though.. turbo is probably a better option ... well lets be honest... You know best bud lol.

I was just giving my opinion in a cheeky way lol. It's all down to personal preference..

Yeah been told to get the ATR gearbox im not wanting to do a h2b to much for the kit u know, its going to go in an eg6, intake will be a skunk2, gunna buy a tri-y manifold and the system will be a 2.5" or a 3" maybe.
The engine will have no work done to it as its the aggressive any way, compared the h22a.
But atm im debating lol

Skunk inlet is extremelyyyy tight to get in we had to beat the firewall just a little, 72mm TB tho but its all in there :D

Jf84.
Remember checking your thread out ages ago.
Yeah i was told to hit the firewall back with some persuassion lol.
Will have to check your build out ina minute bud. :D

Yeah dude, think it was abit of u really then checked some eg k20 builds and love it,
In order for me to do this build ive had to put car in garage to fund it till christmas think i should be able to save £2-4k to do it think i can do it
Want to feel the k20 way :D

...game changer amount of torque and youll have a 6speed to boot!
A fully built b18 might keep up with a totally stock k20 [longer life too].

Good decision buddy!

Yeah well hopefully the k way will happen if not then fully built b18 i guess or 20 or 22 lol

Really whys that? If im not able to do k then b20 would prob be next but then the h can push more bhp and torque than a 20 can

Well the H-series seems to be doing the job for the dc2 itr that keeps winning the vtec-challenge, its heavier than the B and the K but I guess if you do it properly you make the car handle.
