Basically whats the better one to go for lol
About £3k is the max going to build it slowly,
Not too sure what way to go really both engines will be pushing the same its going to be an N/A build in an EG

Cheers

lol is right.

b18 built is the best path to take if you ask me, or go K.

K is out of the question if im honest pal,
B18 really, i know the b20 can piss the b18 on torque and bhp,
Never been keen on a b18 but think i could b tempted tho

B18CR 2.0 liter will do some damage to a b20 for sure.
K will trump them both

save your monies and get a K. :)

This, b18 still going fast in the all motor classes and ruling the outlaw

all of the above make killer power some easier then others some more reliable then others whats your overall goal power wise

H22 is bullet proof, a B20 might not be. K20 is mental baller expensive.

H22 gets my vote. I'm not biased honest. :p

Yeah i see what u mean, just that most egs go for b18s, b20s, turbo, k series is just too much for me. There aint many h22s around well especially the h22a7 which ive got :D
Might be going going H

With that budget you would be able build a whopper h22!! They are a very underrated engine and can take serious abuse. Only let down on them is that the gearboxes are a bit soft but you could do a h2b conversion and get rid of that problem! Small bit of engine work with could intake and exhaust set up and you be looking at 200whp all day long!

Gearboxes are usually fine if you get one from a facelift ATR. I would not bother with the hassle of the H2B, just run the full swap. :nice:

It's alright, not really loving big 4 pot sound compared to buzzing short stroke sound of the B16B, but it does a reasonable job of hauling some 1450kg around so I can imagine it hauling some serious arse in an EK!

Yeah been told to get the ATR gearbox im not wanting to do a h2b to much for the kit u know, its going to go in an eg6, intake will be a skunk2, gunna buy a tri-y manifold and the system will be a 2.5" or a 3" maybe.
The engine will have no work done to it as its the aggressive any way, compared the h22a.
But atm im debating lol

I like the Idea of H22 swap. Not very common but no reason why. They will give plenty more torque than a B20 be as reliable as a b18 and to get reasonably good power probably cost less than either once built.

Will be a bit heavier over the front end but all depends what your plans are for the car.

H22 gets my vote. Bang for your buck. Or even the H2B.

Tbh bud, ill be using the car all the time u know, daily and fun would love to tare some cars up. O what u running, h22 bro :D

£3k will get me a great setup but as an N/A it will only be 245bhp max, 170 lbs of torque, with the h22a7 its 215bhp standard so for an extra 30 brake £3k is alot lol,
And for £1900 on a b20 id have 220 bhp with about 164lbs of torque hmmmm lol

Hi mate
Finished a H2b Integra about 2 months ago using the h22a jdm engine, my brother also did the h22 swap into a civic using the h22 gearbox both very fast and ideal for using on the road (over taking is effortless no changing down 2-3 gears!!) But both have problems, for the h2b conversion I used the EVO kit which is not a ” plug and play kit “ we had to modify mounts to get the engine to sit right (lucky me and my brother own and engineering company) you also have to change the angle of the sump and oil pick up but you do get good ground clearance, the h22 conversion has problems with drive shaft angles and ground clearance, also you have to mount the shifter mech in the car by cutting a hole in the trans tunnel.

B18’s lack torque compared to the H22 , I would go with the H22 as you all ready have an ATR engine, its well worth the aggravation once its in and running !!.:win:

I'm guessing you drive an Eg6...

£3000 would get you a very nice Supercharged B16A setup seeing as you allready have the engine it'll be alot cheaper... and leave you money for decent management and a refresh of certain engine parts....

Just throwing it out there.... at least you know the state of your motor :nice:
